Good Pizza, 5 minutes from Time Square

Tucked away under the awning of The Ed Sulivan Theatre, home of The Late Show wit David Letterman, Angelos is nice mid-town Pizzeria on two floors. We were seated upstairs, where the atmosphere was family friendly. The Pizzas work on a 'build your own' concept, adding topping to the basic tomato... read more

A New York style pizza, perfect crispy crust, next to The Ed Sullivan Theatre, aka The Late Show with David Letterman. They were removing his sign the night we ate there.

I've been visiting the Broadway location for years and always had unbelievable, thin, flavorful pizzas. Now, things aren't the same. For example, on my last visit I brought family visiting from Italy, hoping (and praying) for what used to be a reliably thin, tasty, brickoven pizza. All 3 pies brought out were burnt, more so than I've ever received. Not... More

An excellent tasting meal, a starter of garlic pizza bread which 2 of us shared then we both had a lasagne to die for .... Only one thing spoilt it its perhaps that we're from the UK.... They put on the bill an ' expected gratuity which was 18 per cent... Always thought a gratuity was a personal thing ...... More

Good place for Italian food. Food was good. Went after the theater because we didn't have time to eat before. Ambiance could have been more Italian (like music, lighting for a full experience) but it was late so not prime dining time. Pizza shop downstairs, restaurant upstairs.

Nothing bad to say about our experience, we've just had better in the city. It's a casual place with many Italian dishes to choose from or create your own pizza. We had several pizzas and they were just okay. If you are looking for the best pizza in the city this isn't it!

It may have been us having just got off the plane but we found Angelo's a bit cold and drab in the early Sunday evening. We ate on the second floor with one other party in. Service was a bit slack. We chose not to have pizza and had salad and main. My Sicilian salad was excellent but the Rigatoni... More

There are numerous Angelos Pizzas and this is the only one I've tried; it is a must whenever I am in NYC. And despite the name, it is not just pizza. My niece declared it her favorite meal during our 5 day visit! It is between 6th and 7th Ave. next door to the Salisbury Hotel and can easily be... More

Did some Google map search for pizza in the area by the hotel (Hotel Elysse) and asked the hotel staff for their local recommendation and all signs pointed to Angelos. We went there with the intention of getting a classic pizza with fresh mozzarella and basil. Simple, clean, fresh, and cooked right. And that's exactly what we got! It was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
