Very good but not Great

I am not a New Yorker, but I do know my pizza, and I will say it was very good, but nothing extraordinary. Services was good and they accommodated a large group fairly easily. Was it memorable? Not exactly, but a very solid za nonetheless.

My son's first visit to the Big Apple and wanted NY style pizza...authentic. Angelo's was highly recommended by our concierge. The pizza was good but dessert was better. Be sure to try the cannoli. WOW is all I will say.

We walked right in at lunch time and were seated immediately on the first level. We requested to stay on the first floor. The size of this restaurant is very deceiving from the outside. They have a huge second level that seats many people. The restrooms are on this level. We ordered a large tomato pie and vegetable soup. All... More

Perfect timing we had. Got a seat right away and the food came very quickly which is what we were looking for. Absolutely delicious pizza. My husband had the speghetti and meatballs which was just ok. Atmosphere is casual and close. Good service.

At first we didn't order pizza. Big mistake. If we had left it at that, I couldn't have rated it higher than 3 stars, more like 2. We had them take that food away. They handled it fairly on the check and seemed to agree that something had gone pretty wrong with at least one of the two dishes. But... More

I found the pizza good but very expensive. 25 USD a small pizza with two toppings and no mozzarella (plus tax, plus service) Service was ok. The restaurant was quite empty.

Oh my, best pizza in a very long time!!!!!! Service is fairly good, limited bar options but great wine selection. Only knock is, and mind you this is completely out fault, be careful and read EXACTLY, what the extra toppings in the pizza will cost. $17 pie ended up $33, again it's clearly marked, but you'll need to pay attention... If you are looking for NY style pizza you will disappointed, don't take me wrong is good pizza but more like artisan pizza. Crust is good crispy and thin. Sauce too sweet for my taste and the cheese fabulous. I had sausage and I was the one one usually expect on a pizza it look more like ground beef but... More

We ate here recently while killing time before The David Letterman Show. The food was excellent and a good value. We had spaghetti and meatballs (so so) and ravioli with pistachio sauce (GREAT). Fast and friendly service. We sat downstairs and were a little cold (winter storm howled outside) and went upstairs to visit the restroom and discovered a large... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
