Review of grocery store, not the restaurant

I try to stop here whenever I am in NY. I can find/pick up things that I can't find at home in my local grocery store. The Whole Foods grocery store never disappoints.

Whole Foods is the place I always seem to visit halfway into a trip when I've been eating nothing but carbs and fats and need a top of up of steamed veg and lean meat. Columbus Circle is always busy, the queuing system takes a bit of getting used to. However, you can rely on their ready to go meals... More

We stopped by Whole Foods for a late lunch (2 pm) earlier this week. The food court was mobbed. I got bumped into several times, run over by shopping carts and was worried about losing my 9 year old son. So much for the bad news. The array of available food was unbelievable. From sushi to pizza to salads to... More

So many choices of hot and cold prepared food to pick from. The lines are crazy when it comes to checking out. It you have less then ten items the line moves a bit quicker. There is a dining room when you exit after paying where you can grab utensils or use a microwave to heat up your entree. Seating... More

Good place to get food in a hurry. Lots of different prepared foods and the lines to pay go relatively quickly.

This was right opposite our hotel, when we visited New York. A great selection of foods from cereals, cakes, fruits to coked chickens, ribs etc. if you don't want to eat in a restaurant or diner, or just want to grab something on the go, then you can't go wrong here.

We wanted a quick snack to take across the road to Central Park for lunch ! The problem was where to start as the choice is fantastic! From salads to sandwiches to hot snacks to fresh fruit is just a small start. We had a Salad Box ($8.99) and Roast Beef with Cheddar on a Kaiser Roll ($6.99). The quality... More

Great location and best part, the food! where could you ever get delicious international cuisine by the pounds. The dessert, fret not … that goes by the pound as well! They are all exquisite, great price. Lines tend to be a little long and at times bit confusing but they move fast and always someone to guide you. The dining... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
