So much choice!

My boyfriend was a bit confused when I said I wanted to go to a supermarket for lunch but he was so impressed when we got there! Spent about 15 minutes just walking around trying to decide what to have! Both went for the pizza in the end and it was amazing! Took it into Central Park and had a... read more

This is a very good market that offers great take-out options in addition to the expected grocery options.

This location was near our hotel so it was a great option for healthy meals when we were just too tired for a sit down dinner. Super clean and efficient check out system. Great salad bar. Also had a rotisserie chicken and chicken noodle soup...both excellent. The hot bar didn't have the best choices during our visit but we found... More

This is a great place to pick up some food to take across to Central Park - there's a big deli style food court type of thing, we usually hit the salad bar, but there are stalls of food like soups, sushi and Japanese bento boxes, hot roast meats and sides, sandwiches, cakes, fried chicken and sides - all sorts.... Lovely shopping, excellent foods, everything I needed while staying in New York City. Just on the edge of Central Park.

Filled mostly with locals, this is a great place to pick up small and large items. Picnics to food on the go, cheaper than many places and superb selection. You can eat in or take to the park, ask for double bags as you will probably end up with more than you went in for.

This Whole Foods was great for tourists visiting NYC. I didn't want to eat unhealthy fast food or go out to expensive restaurants every night during my stay in NYC. It was great to enjoy healthy food options. Also, I was able to stocked up on fruit, sandwiches, and snacks for my children. My only complaint was the crowds. So,... More

This is the perfect place to visit before heading to Central Park for a picnic! There are a lot of different cold and warm options to chose from. The best items in our picnic basket was a really good slice of pizza and some fantastic brownies. The place is crowded and the staff is very occupied so if you have... More

An easy way to get a take-out lunch or dinner if you're looking to 'picnic' in Central Park. Nice, wholesome selection. The place is always v busy, but there is a relative fast checkout line - just before lunchtime, at least(!)

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
