Good food, fast, busy, cheapish

Went there twice in space of 3 weeks. Good menu, good mix of Cantonese & Szechuan food. It's fairly noisy, busy and fast & furious but size of servings, quality & price make it a winner for me. Love the Kung Po Chicken!

If you're into remarkable blends of various Sichuan peppers, chilies, and spices then Ollie's the place for you! I dropped in on a whim after a friend's recommendation; and I'm super glad I did. The table next to mine ordered a whole fish fried crispy and drenched with a thick sweet and sour sauce and pine nuts! I was ready... More

We had several dishes, all cooked to perfection, service was fast, large portions, enough to fill your belly. Beans, shredded potatoes, salted pork slice and pepper, rice, and sweat and sour chicken. All washed washed down with a pot of tea. The price was a little expensive, due to its location.

My wife and I had dinner here, while on holiday in New York. The place was very busy and we waited around 10 minutes for a table. We ordered a steamed fish dish, prawns and asparagus, and steamed rice. Seating space is very cramped. Prices are okay by New York standards, which probably explains why this place does well.

Service was terrible, the waitress was sour faced and offhand. We paid the bill with an adequate tip but the waiter demanded another $20 on top of that for a gratuity that was ill deserved which he watched us count out dollar by dollar, definitely not a place I would recommend.

Visited this evening before a Broadway play. It was fairly busy which I thought was a good sign. I was grossly mistaken. Wonton strips with dipping sauce were tossed on our table in bags!! Edaname (my daughter's choice)...obviously would have been better at a Japanese restaurant, but these were gross and soggy and without salt. Ordered pan fried dumplings and... More

Ollie's is a good Chinese food restaurant in easy walking distance of Times Square. Their menu is varied, and prices are very reasonable for NY City. I generally eat there at least one time whenever I am in the city.

Very good Chinese food. At any time, at least half the customers are oriental. The menu is extensive and the quality is good. They have lunchtime bargains from Mon to Fri. Great choice for pre matinee lunch during the week

We can highly recommend this chines restaurant at 411W. 42nd Street. There is a large choise of dishes and the portiones are large. The prices are realy moderate, average price is about us dollar 15 for a dish. As at any chines restaurants you will get Tee free "a la discretion" . We went there whole week and there were... More

I went to Ollie's with a group of friends. We ordered appetizers and 5 dishes to share. Every dish was incredible. I liked the cashew chicken, dumplings, and Moo Shu vegetables with the pancakes. The staff was wonderful and they charged my phone for me as I ate. I cannot wait to return.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
