Teetering on 2.5 stars but since it's the holiday season, I'm feeling generous so I'll bump it up to a 3. Two friends and I came in on a Saturday at noon with a reservation. Turns out, the reservation was completely unnecessary because the place was pretty much empty except for a table or two. It was probably still a... More

We went here on a recommendation from friends who know Cuban food and I have to say that the recommendation was an excellent one. Our server was such a personalble guy who took interest in our opinion of the food and restaurant. The food came out in a timely manner and the appetizer and main meal were nicely spaced apart.... This might be from now one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. The food was awesome... The tostones, the arroz con pollo, the moros, the Pork, every single thing!!!

I visited Havana Alma de Cuba on October 25th. It was our last day in New York and wanted to make it a memorable ocasion. We decided to try this place out and was an excellent choice. The food was amazing and the service was excellent too. The place is a bit small and can get crowded but the staff... More

We met friends visiting from out of town and family from NYC - 6 of us all together, and we had a lovely dinner. We chose this restaurant because our friends had never had Cuban cuisine before and they really loved it. some had the paella and some had beef in plantain bowls with typical Cuban species. everything was very... This place is everything you want in a Cuban restaurant. In their main room they have live music(it might just be on Friday and Saturday I'm not sure) and the people playing are great! The drinks are great both mixed and wine. And the best part, the food. I'm addicted to the ropa vieja they serve which is served in... More

This unimposing cozy restaurant in theVillage (Christopher Street) area is full of surprises! The hostess igreets with such friendliness and led us through the formal table area to the back of the restaurant where the outdoor garden patio tables are located. We were handed over to the most welcoming major doom waiter. And his staff. The ambience is great with... More

I liked being at this restaurant. Its a cool place with interesting people. We stopped for a (very) quick bite before seeing a show at IRT down the street. The food was average though, weighed-down by a very pretentious waiter.

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
