Great place to go to, especially handy if you are going to a show on broadway as it is nearby and the service is pretty quick. Cheescakes are lovely and the staff are very nice.

The restaurant is clean and classy looking. The food was a bit over-priced and nothing to write home about. We went for breakfast and had the pancakes, omelette, ham and bacon, eggs and coffee. The pancakes were tough and bland. The bacon was thin. The omelette had too much cheese. The pastries they give you at seating are a nice gesture,... More

After the theater, we were looking for great cheesecake. The concierge at our hotel recommended Junior's. We'd also seen Junior's listed a "best cheesecake" list, so off we went. This is now my new fave restaurant in Manhattan. A fun, "old New York" kind of place with friendly staff and, yup!, The Best cheesecake. I had the blueberry, my husband... More

We knew Junior's from Brooklyn over 50years ago and although the cheesecake is not as tall or sliced as big, the taste is still creamy and tommy. We split a tuna salad sandwich which was very good (they are big enough to share so there is room for dessert). It's very busy and close, and noisy, but a nice lunch.... More

I knew I wanted jumior's cheesecake while visiting NYC, but didn't know what I wanted to EAT there! the menu reads like upscale vintage diner food. everything sounded good, but I finally picked the lobster roll. you new englander's don't even start!!! I haven't been fortunate enough to have a REAL lobster roll, so my review is based on what... More

I'll get my mumbling and grumbling outa da way first: We seniors arrived at Junior's on a Sunday morning just before 11 AM. We wanted breakfast/brunch, but a host informed us that only the lunch menu is served after 11. On a Sunday?? Get outa heah! Next, even though the temp was in the mid-50s, the window wall facing the... More

I honestly am NOT a cheesecake eater, and had intentions of purchasing a slice of carrot cake. Well with the madness of my mother trying to pick out the perfect cheesecake for her beau in Grand Central Station, I ended up with a carrot cheesecake and did not realize until I was in La Guardia Airport. I AM a foodie... More

We had heard about Juniors prior to going to New York, and we made it our first evening meal. We were not disappointed. Food was great, portions fantastic, speed of service amazing, and our waiter was terrific. Have I convinced you yet? we went back a couple of more times. Once, only to eat cheesecake OMG!!! If you like all... More

We decided to try this place as it was close to the theatre where we had taken in a Broadway show. We were lucky that our show finished before most of the others nearby as 15 minutes after we arrived people were queuing out of the door. We had around a 20 minute wait for a table but this was... Only went for cheesecake and coffee but were not disappointed, the cheesecake is the best I have ever had, I would say this is a must if in New York. The portions are really big so order to share. Staff are very friendly and overall a great experience.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
