On a visit to New York City recently, my wife and I booked tickets to the theatre. On the way there we decided to have a quick lunch and found it in the form of Junior's diner. There is a full menu that covers anything from sandwiches to barbecue meals. There are large number of desserts, including their famous original... More

That it's noisy and crowded, is to be expected. We had to get a manager to seat us because the hostess would not do so until we were all in the restaurant even though we were 8 and explained that one of us would be a little late. My pastrami sandwich was good, nothing special. My wife's first corned beef... More

Went two times during last visit. Cheesecake is simply the best. Best matzah ball soup I have had in a while. Staff friendly and efficient. Went on a Saturday night after a play. Atmosphere was busy but got us in within 20 minutes. Great cup of coffee. Reasonable prices.

Junior's cheesecake (plain is my favorite) is the best NYC has to offer. I've spoken to many locals who agree. Fun atmosphere and excellent food as well!

called in during a trip to Broadway following a tip off from the hotel - was looking for a Cheesecake Factory but wasn't disappointed with this. Great choice - we had a chocolate swirl due to its chunky bottom. $7.00 for a slice big enough to share Happy days / sorry no photo it didn't last that long

We went after the theater which is usually a huge mistake but were able to get right in since there were just two of us. We were tucked into a little side room which really helped with the noise but lost some of the atmosphere. Service was a bit slow but they were slammed. The hotdogs, which my daughter got,... More

A great experience. Right in the theater district. Deli-type food, but very good! The cheesecake is the best I've ever had. Average prices for this area.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
