Very good, fresh food

I went here for brunch this past weekend with my bf on an Amazon local deal. We shared the arugula and fennel salad which was very fresh and lightly dressed, very refreshing. I had the antipasto plate as my entree and my bf had the baked eggs. Both dishes were wonderful. I havent had a cold... read more

I had a pseudo business lunch there a few days ago. The place is fairly small, with fairly small tables and fairly small portions. Service is good, prices are ok, but the dessert I tried was, honestly, out of this world: the homemade bread pudding. That saved the just ok omelette I ordered. It´s definitely worth another try.

We had a dozen people for a company dinner, and Zampa did a fine job with us. We had a limited menu, perhaps with not as much diversity as one might have liked, but there were three salads, five entrees, and one dessert to choose from. Antipasto platters were generous and plentiful. A suvey of the group came up with... More

A relatively small menu but each of the six of us had great meals. The marinated mixed olives, fettunta with prosciutto were wonderful as was the lasagna bolognese.

Held a party for 40 people. Anthony and his staff were amazing. Everyone had a great time and was raving about the appetizers, antipasti, lasagna, and wine. Thanks for a great event.

I must have passed this street and never noticed Zampa before. I got a Blackboard Eats deal and wanted to try it. Such a cute cozy place. It reminds me of a restaurant you would find in Montreal. Lots of good looking people yet it was not pretentious. The moment I arrived I was greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress... More

It's a hidden little place, right by the 14th street stop. It's clean with simple but cool decor. The staff was kind & attentive. Went to this place with a Gilt voucher. Was a bit pricey for the foods offered or else wouldn't have gone. Brunch was pretty delicious though!

The place is very welcoming and cozy. The food is excellent although the menu was very limited. The service was OK. A bit pricey.

When you eat at Zampa you are treated to a meal about which the chef has taken a great deal of care. The sauces are rich with flavors, cooked slowly to maximize the seasoning. Combinations are designed to complement each other deliciously- not just to be different. Two such items on the menu are the lasagna and the caponata of... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
