Came here with a group of friends while visiting New York City. My friend recommended this place because he was really happy with dell'anima's sister restaurant, and was eager to try this place out as well. The restaurant is located on 8th Ave., on Jane St. (between 12th and 13th) in Greenwich Village. Let's just say there are places in... More

Dell'anima is doing it right, with fresh, homemade dishes across the board. My favorites are the bronzino, the bucatini, and the tagliatelle. The crostini are an amazing starter, although try not to fill up on the tasty bread. A must visit!

We like to spend money at restaurants, but honestly 4 tiny raviolis do not constitute a plate. They were very good though...

Enjoyed our Friday night dinner here recently. Reservations are a must! We were lucky to score a corner table as the place fills up and stays busy. Sweetbreads were delicious and scrumptiously prepared. The braised short ribs tender and tasty. Wine list good, service fine, have to request water glass be refilled.

My wife and I went here at the recommendation of a hotel concierge who said the cooking was fantastic. This didn't disappoint. Grilled octopus and endive salad were a terrific start. The pastas were excellent, unique and very special. Great selection of wines by the glass. We sat at the bar and had great service. There are lots of Italian... More

I love the authentic, rustic way they prepare the food~ right in front of you, lots of soul and with super fresh ingredients. This is one of my favorites in NYC and a must visit every time I'm in the city! BTW, service is also excellent!

dell'anima means "of the soul" and you can taste the soul in every bite. I've eaten here for years and as the menu changes, it just keeps getting more fantastic. I learned about this place because it was open after the theatre but isn't a theatre trap. Treat yourself.

Had the pleasure of dining at Dell'anima before a concert on Saturday evening with another couple... started with 5 different Bruschetta; all delicious... Then moved onto the must have Grilled octopus & Arugula salad... all the pasta dishes are very very good; can't go wrong & then we shared their signature Chicken dish, Pollo Al Diavilo served over brocolli rabe...... Best Mexican restaurant outside of Mexico. Everything made in house and nothing ever disappoints. Casual and fun place in downtown Chicago with superb food.
