Sangria was great!

My husband and I went to see a play, and wanted to eat tapas in the Theater District. This restaurant was well located. We made a 6:30 reservation, although the place was half full. To begin with, the red sangria was great, mixed with brandy and other things: not super sweet and very tasty. A small... read more

My roommate invited me & my boyfriend to join her & her mother out to dinner. I am from Panama', my boyfriend Dominican, roommate Italian. We enjoy flavorful food(s). The ambiance of this location was quite lovely. We had 6:30 reservation, so we had the opportunity to enjoy the emptiness before it got busy. We ordered Sangria , which was... More

We went on Valentine's Day for a Valentine's and Pre-Theatre Dinner. A success on both counts. The food was great. We had the Valentine's Special (salad, seafood, and dessert for 2 plus a mushroom app). It was very good and the right amount of food. We weren't rushed. Service was great. And oh yeah the sangria was great - the... More

The place is mediocre at best I got the skirt steak that was well done and asked for medium rare , the fact that it was cover in silver skin was a bigger issue . They did however take it off the check and gave us a couple of shots and some flan to make up for it . The... More

We popped in for a bite before a Sunday matinee of "Kinky Boots". Ordering a few things to share was appealing as our plan was to have an Italian dinner after the show. The restaurant was not busy but certainly enough people (about 6 tables) to not feel like we were dining alone ... service was friendly and attentive! The... More

If you are looking for a place to enjoy a nice meal and great service stop in. We had about 1 hour before our show. We were seated and had a sangria in our hands in no time at all, it was a Wednesday night. Sangria 46 is right around the corner from Kinky Boots and a close walk from... More

Went to dinner with a co-worker. We enjoyed four different tapas: dates wrapped in bacon, clams casino, filet and stuffed mushrooms. We split one dinner entree-chicken tamarindo. More food than we could finish. Everything was delicious. We had red sangria and strawberry sangria. Both were very flavorful. Prices were great, service excellent. I would defiantly come back again!

I don't typically expect much from places on Restaurant Row (it's tourist central), but this place used to be a good standby. Unfortunately, it's only strength these days is the namesake drink. The service is mixed - not great the night I was there recently. The food is inconsistent - we had to send back calamari that was too tough... More

We went to Sangria 46 before seeing a show. I knew it was on 46th street with all the other quaint restaurants. The outside of Sangria 46 is decorated a tacky, off-putting yellow that is very much misleading. When you go inside the restaurant is very charming. The food was excellent. I got the Filet Sangria which was to DIE... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
