Tasty Banh Mi & Pho - Cash Only, Always a Crowd

Great place for pho or banh mi (sp?). The Bahnmi is pretty big, but the pho is HUGE. Fairly priced too but all in cash and there is always a crowd - very popular with the locals aka NYU students. But, if you have the time, get a ticket and wait for a table. It's worth staying for the food.... read more

I've been going to this restaurant for almost a decade - when it was "Saigon Grill" but had to change for legal reasons. The food has been consistently good - but I've been a little disappointed with how quickly prices have risen every year. It used to be a great deal for really good food; now it feels like good... Great Vietnamese food with decent servings. the atmosphere is great too--quite a large space and there are people coming and going all night. This many people can't be wrong and we weren't disappointed.

Landed quite late, we were looking for some asian food quite easy. Tried and we could not do a better choice: good food, price are fair considering quality and quantity. Nice and warm place that I recommend for all asian food fans

Don't be fooled by the size of a place...every dish is cooked to order here and is authentic and very reasonably priced. This is a favorite of Asian students at NYU and they should know what is good .

Saigon Market is a good restaurant. I have ate their many times. I went their for dinner and it was good but not the best. The food is so-so. The service is so-so. The portions were pretty big. I ordered #79 which was pan fried crispy egg noodles topped with vegetables and your choice of beef, fish, chicken, or vegetables.... More

If you're ever in Union Square or Greenwich Village, check out this hidden gem! The only thing I ever order are their string beans and/or Bun Xao (number 78...I think). Those two dishes never cease to amaze me. Whenever I eat there, my pockets aren't empty and my tummy is happy!! Avoid going here for dinner on Friday and Saturday... More

We went in a cold, rainy day and the steaming bowls of phos here were just the thing we needed. However, we've been to better Vietnamese restaurants in the country and in Asia. First, the name of the restaurant is a misnomer because besides Vietnamese food, the restaurant also offers Thai and Asian dishes. Also, the dishes have clearly been... More

Big portions and prompt service. Perfect for a lunch when you have limited time and want good food. The lunch specials offer the best bargain. The place is big with tables to accommodate large groups. We had our department luncheon there.

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
