Regular normal food

This restaurant is a short hop away from Times Sq and has ample seating. The food is typically American and the portions are very large. The service was fine, the food was fine and the location was ok.

The only good thing was the window seat we got. We had to wait for at least 15 mins before anyone even came and took our drinks order. The drinks then took ages to come out and when the food arrived it was really greasy. We were also charged extra for sides which should have been included in the price... More

Thought by going to chain we would be safe, unfortunately this was not the case. Staff not interested, and atmosphere unwelcoming. Food was disappointing, and expensive in comparison to other New York restaurants of similar type. They want you to come back tomorrow, I don't think so!

There was very little good about this visit, I'll start with the good. Great location and quick seating. Now the bad. It took a while for our server to come to the table. My wife asked if she could have a green pepper and cheese omelette and our server said ok. Then she came back and asked if she would... More

Three of us, 2 adults/1child, ate at Applebee's on one occasion on our recent visit to New York. Whilst the service was provided with a smile, it felt very much like a fast food experience. We all ordered steaks which were satisfactory but hardly memorable. We were situated close to the entrance on the upper floor and there was a... More

Food was expensive and disappointing for what it was, cocktail was so bad i sent it back! This meal was expensive and totally not worth it. Also air con was freezing, i commented and the waiter said that others had said the same and there was nothing they could do. Also totally lacked atmosphere - perhaps everyone else knew to... More

We stayed at the hotel next door and just came in from a long flight and we were hungry and tired so decided to go to Applebee's for dinner. Worst meal in NY. The food took long and was cold when it was served. I saw a small mouse run into the corner booth and after that we saw it... More

My wife and I ordered the broccoli chicken fettuccine alfredo, the meal was so dry, no sauce and no taste at all. If you have a $0.99 frozen Walmart meal, it will defiantly taste much better. This was the most nasty tasteless meal I ever had in my life. I used to be a big fan of Applebee's, specifically for... More

Walked in for a light meal. Great choice of starters and they even had an option for combining starters. Service was friendly and efficient. Ate in the Bar area, great spot to watch the world go by. Atmosphere was welcoming.

We decided to eat here since it was close to our hotel. The service was pretty slow, especially considering the restaurant was pretty empty. The food was average, no better than expected, but very pricey for what we received. But, then again, everything costs more in Times Square.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
