The burger is fresh, well made and delicious. Did i mention delicious? I washed it down with a strawberry shake that might just be the best shake I've had. Always a line, pretty well organized, though and once you have had the burger, fries and shake combo you will always feel that you're being let down by other fast food... More

I've been travelling to NYC regularly for about seven years. Friends and business associates rave about Shake Shack and even in the middle of winter there's quite the line. On this last trip at the end of January, on a beautiful sunny day, I finally braved the line, ordered a burger and fries, and sat down (on a rather precariously... More

The way a Burger should be; Good meat, excellent cheese and wonderful bread, Simple but when done wright it's wonderful. Order the double burger because the patty is small.

2 adults and 2 teenage boys stopped here for lunch while walking about the city. The service was fast, the price was good and the food was amazing! We all had burgers, fries and milkshakes. Burgers are homemade, not frozen patties. Milk shakes are thick and full of flavour.

I heard several people talking about this place around the hotel. Burgers were OK but nothing special. Definitely better than the McDonalds down the street. Gonna go try the salted caramel hot chocolate later though.

Waow this was definitly the best burger in NYC, The bread is moist, a bit sweet and that's all we need. The meat is perfectly cooked. Eating outside with snow was a great experience!

This is a very popular place. We arrived for a late lunch and it was still crowded but queues moved quickly so not too long to wait. The food is simple, fresh and good quality. We enjoyed our burgers but the highlight was the shakes which are frozen custard based. They were delicious. So much so, that every time we... More

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
