This is a great place to get a shake and burger if you are from a place where there are not many shakes and burgers. If you are from the U.S, though, and have a classic dive that serves great burgers and shakes, or even In'N'Out Burger, Steak'n'Shake, Five Guys, etc., you're not going to be blown away by Shake... Waited for 20 minutes in line, then 15 minutes to get our order (family of 6), meanwhile stalked another family for their table :), but it was worth every second, and the personnel had a great attitude thus the stress.

The place is always crowded and a little difficult to find a seat but worth the wait. The shakes are thick and flavorful and the burgers are yummy.

I was told that was the best burger in the city, but I wouldn't be that sure. Yes It's very good, and delicious, and original (our burger had red pepper on it), and all the ingredients are supposed to be organic. One thing I liked it the most: it wasn't a place packed with tourist, in fact it was the... More

At 9.30 pm. there was a very long line. We waited almost half an hour to order and some more to have our burgers. Great portions we coul not manage to finish the burger+fries. Tasty. Worths for waiting. To have our burgers at lovely Madison Square Park was very good.

A massive line for a burger and a shake? These guys have perfected this simple combo. Fries could be better, but are far from bad. Outdoor seating only means not good for rainy summer days.

Staying in Flatiron District

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
