I don't understand the line up for this place . It's just ok , nothing more than regular burger at a fast food . You have to wait half an hour to eat ...

This is exactly the burger you would make if you knew how to consistently make a good burger - its not fast food - its better.

I rarely eat hamburgers, mostly because I'm usually disappointed, not this time. I was in Central Park as it was starting to get dark and had a craving for a hamburger. I did a quick Google maps search for something nearby and realized Shake Shack was only a couple of blocks away. I've heard so much about it but never... More

My nephew from LA turned me onto the 'shroom burger, it took an out of towner to lead me to one of NYC's best sandwiches: a portobello mushroom topped with cheese, then lightly breaded and fried - WOW! Plus they have frozen custard, a NYC classic soft serve ice cream. Some outposts are less crowded than others...

Just not sure about the lines............ Shake Shack is definitely worth a visit, but I gauge it completely by the length of the lines. There is so much good food in NYC, nothing is worth an uncomfortable wait in the heat. When the line is reasonable, however - it's like a mini-lottery win! Enjoy!

It is no accident that you usually find a wait at whatever Shake Shack you visit. I've never tried the shakes, but my husband loves them. The hamburgers are great as are the vegetarian portabello mushroom burgers which are stuffed with cheese and deep fried. Both burgers have a distinctive small, light and tasty brioche type bun that melts in... More

As one of the few New York staples that is also eminently affordable, all should add this to their must list. Don't worry about the long line, they are no-nonsense on their back of the house efficiency. I often think back on my last bite of a 'shroom burger on a rough day at the office and it picks me... I tried the hamburger at Madison Square park 23rd St NYC. The hamburger is not to my taste. The line is long so I ordered two hamburger with cheese and got a number and pick up when my number was called. I like the Burger Heaven better. The hamburger are very thin and dry but the kids I give them... More

Great basic burger and even better when you add cheese. They have several different kinds but i prefer the double meat and cheese. If you like a good size burger definitely get the double meat as the regular one is kinda small. Most of the time there is a fairly long line but the taste is worth the wait and... More

Best burgers and cheese fries. Try the Smokehouse burger, yum. Everything priced low. Atmosphere at Madison Square Park in the open air with Edison bulbs is sooo pleasant.
