If you are looking for a healthier alternative to McDonalds, and don't mind waiting in line, go here. Or if you want to say you've been, but don't go here for the best burger ever. They are like a diner burger, slapped together to get through the enormous line-ups. New Yorkers seem to think this is the best place ever.... More

Outdoor seating in Madison Square Park makes this popular burger joint an interesting experience. Prepare for waiting in lines and searching for a table during peak times. Food was very good for fast food burgers, shakes, fries, and such. It was the nice setting in the park with lights hanging from the trees which made it worth the trip to... More

But at least the lovely waitress brought out some samples of their superb custard and you can buy wine. Burgers are pretty good as well. Got to send the kids in ahead to get somewhere to sit.

We thoroughly enjoyed the food (much better than Maccas etc) and the location. All the tables were outside and although freezing at end of December, there were numerous heaters that made this doable. (We dined around 4:30 pm and only partook of a small quantity of food, sharing one dish between us). There was a lovely open feel being situated... More

I never understood the hype about shake shack or this location. I first came to this location when they first opened and have only come less than 10 times since it's inception and it leaves much to be desired. I don't think the burgers are seasoned enough as they taste bland most of the time. There's nothing special about the... More

We ate there like 3 times, the food is amazing, the place is small so it's usually very crowd. The last day I tried the frites with the cheese...hated it! The "cheese" is so artificial that I couldn't finish my frites. I have already ordered it without the cheese and I liked them.

I literally cannot fault this place. Burgers & fries are juicy, tasty and moreish. Recommended. Careful of big queues though.

Visited shake shack twice when we were there in may, the best fast food place I've ever been to! Food quality felt like we were eating in a 5 star restaurant

We came by to have milk shakes and therefore I cannot comment on the burgers. The milkshakes were terrible. McDonald's shakes would easily beat these everyday. And the washrooms were the filthiest in New York.

Here you are going to ENJOY the BEST burgers in NY and probably one of the best we've have ate. You have to go to Shake Shack, either the one in Madison or one of the other restaurants in NY. The only difference we have found between them was the fries, the one in Madison (unfortunately) was the only one... More
