It was delicious!

BBQ was great and all the sides were just as good. Felt just like the hill country BBQ in Texas. Great job!

Finally a place that managed to satisfy my husband appetite! My other half loves BBQ and his only criteria this visit was to go to a realntexas BBQ, so after much research we settled on hill country. It was not a disappointment , the snow was coming down and we entered the warm wooden interia to be greeted by a... More

This is walking distance from Hotel Giraffe on 26th , so we went for another visit. This place was packed. Maybe not the best BBQ joint but fun for tourists. The side dishes were weak but the meat was good. Staff didn't have a lot to do, since it was serve yourself, but did a good job. Okay spot.

If you've ever skinny dipped in Hippy Hollow and miss it, this is the place to eat in NYC. My Texan husband goes into a carnivorous, cowboy stupor here. Brisket is great, lean or fatty choices, served traditional style with only the whitest, white bread and excellent corn muffins. Love the collard greens. Blue Bell ice cream from heaven tops... I ate here several years ago for lunch and totally enjoyed it. The moist brisket was so tender, juicy and flavorful -- and the service was great. So I was excited to come back and I guess the dinner experience is totally different. It is quite odd that the meat and sides are self-service and paid as you leave BUT... More

My first experience of eating here was scrumptious, my second was just as scrumptious. However this time we were there for the live band karaoke and what a hoot! Great food great drinks and fantastic atmosphere! The live band karaoke is a great way to experience a variety of all types of New Yorkers. Great fun.

This place is fantastic. We went on a friends recommendation and it just happened to be 'All you can eat' night... The meat is juicy, smoky and delicious and served with a range of yummy sides. If you like meat this place is a must!!

We are NYC for a trade show and 12 of us were looking for somewhere to go with no reservation. This place is awesome! You sit at your table and order your drinks and then head up to the meat line to order whatever meats you like and then hit and cold sides. First thought was this is going to... More

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
