It was a great barbecue place a couple of blocks from the hotel in W26th street. You go to these counters where they weigh out the barbecued meat, and you visit other counters where you get your sides, and desserts. Staff were friendly, and the beers were cold. Biggish place, but they made us feel welcome.

To be fair, I was there for a seminar/business luncheon. The group was about 130 people. Still, the tables had been set with about half the amount of silverware for the number of seats. There were glasses for water OR iced tea, but not both. The sides came out at least ten minutes before the meat, and the platters of... More

Our family of four tried to sample as many things as possible, so we ordered the brisket (both moist and lean versions), spare ribs and the Wednesday night wings special as mains, plus sides of green bean casserole, mac and cheese, sweet potato mash and coleslaw. We enjoyed everything (and preferred the tastier moist brisket to the lean version). Buyer... More

I make the ‘hurry’ comment because you walk up and order your meat, and they immediately give it to you. Same with sides. Being our first time, and fact that lady likes chicken, and I like sausage, we started with the pit boss sampler. Sausage was good, chicken average [as good as chicken can get]. But the brisket and ribs... More

This is a dry rub type of BBQ, which they do better than anyone. Even the brisket is better than any I've tried in NYC. The ribs are the reason to go. Good sides, country style interior, fairly large up and down.

No complaints here, other than it's jawdroppingly expensive for what it is. Ordered the big spread sampler for two, plus some ribs - delivery so no booze - and with an eleven dollar discount the fare was $90 with tip. That said, the food was terrifuc., esp the moist brisket. Ribs were very tasty and I gnawed it and stared... More

It took me a while to understand what was going on. You enter and get a buzzer which will tell you when you can go through. There is a bar to keep you busy while you wait. when you are buzzed, you get a meal ticket which is like a personal tab. the waiters are great and friendly and will... More

This is a cafeteria type restaurant. The meat is smoked and you go up to the line and choose the meat first. They carve it right there. Then you choose sides. The drinks are brought to the table by the server. The brisket had a very good flavor and the sweet potatoes were good.

Arrived around 7pm on a Friday for dinner. Hostess was pleasant and as busy as they were, it was only about a 15 minute wait. They do take reservations, however same day reservations stop at 4pm, so call early. Saw everything form couples to families to a large group of friends out on the town. Krista was our server and... Stumbled upon this place on a late Saturday afternoon at the end of August. It's a casual setting and certainly appropriate for small children. We were seated immediately and there were no lines. The meat selections were limited - one type of sausage, brisket, pork ribs, loin chops and barbecue chicken. Not really knowing how much to order, our server... More
