Delicious barbecue but not a great dining experience...

I ate here several years ago for lunch and totally enjoyed it. The moist brisket was so tender, juicy and flavorful -- and the service was great. So I was excited to come back and I guess the dinner experience is totally different. It is quite odd that the meat and sides are self-service and... read more

My first experience of eating here was scrumptious, my second was just as scrumptious. However this time we were there for the live band karaoke and what a hoot! Great food great drinks and fantastic atmosphere! The live band karaoke is a great way to experience a variety of all types of New Yorkers. Great fun.

This place is fantastic. We went on a friends recommendation and it just happened to be 'All you can eat' night... The meat is juicy, smoky and delicious and served with a range of yummy sides. If you like meat this place is a must!!

We are NYC for a trade show and 12 of us were looking for somewhere to go with no reservation. This place is awesome! You sit at your table and order your drinks and then head up to the meat line to order whatever meats you like and then hit and cold sides. First thought was this is going to... More

Although not the cheapest of cheaps, this place is amazing value for BBQ lovers from everywhere. Excellent succulent meats from the butchers stand, weighed at your desired, allowed for a deliciously messy red meat dining experience. Great buslting ambiance, families and friends alike, your typical american image comes into mind when visiting. The staff were helpful and fun, and helped... More

I haven't eaten meat in over 25 years so this probably wasn't the best choice for a business lunch I had here today. While I didn't eat any of the main courses I enjoyed the atmosphere and the side dishes that i could enjoy. I had the Mac and Cheese, the green bean casserole and a nice slice of pecan... More

This is quite possibly the closest you can get to Lockhart Texas without buying a plane ticket. Food is good but not great, this is exactly how you would order at either dueling BBQ places in historic Lockhart (the home of bbq). Definitely worth trying. I also feel that it's worth mentioning that the food has gotten worse as time... More

Background: Found this place googling places nearby Penn Station to meet up with my friends visiting from Australia. I figured it was an easy location for them to walk to. The atmosphere: A clear western theme, with benches as seats (and chairs) and bar stools to match. I was expecting peanut shells on the floor ( a la Texas Roadhouse... More

I thought the moist brisket was excellent. The pork ribs were very good. I wasn't a fan of the Kreuz Original sausage. It was moist but not very flavorful. I was given a sample of the beef shoulder. It was amazing. It's also big so I didn't order it. I need to go back with someone so we can share... More

Neighborhood Profile
Flatiron District
Offering many of the city’s best restaurants and shops set amid classic New York architecture, the Flatiron District is no longer under the tourist radar. At 23rd Street is the famous triangular Flatiron Building, which makes a good picture no matter what angle you photograph it from. Be sure to look up at the elegant architecture as you stroll the streets - much of this neighborhood is part of a historic district that was home to many of the city’s most famous department stores at the turn of the century. At the northern end of the neighborhood, Madison Square Park is best known for being home to a famous burger shack, but it can also be a quiet refuge to spend an afternoon, and it frequently hosts interesting public art exhibits. In the lower part of the Flatiron District you'll find Union Square, a bustling crossroads at all times of day and night.
