Expected good service & food

Overall a good place to eat. Service was good as to be expected. Disappointed on ribeye steak compared to the filets that others had. Ribeye had much fat and little meat for the price. Get the fitet when dinning here.

Stopped for drinks on the outside on hot spring night, great drink, great staff, very nice and welcoming! Even asked me if I wanted a drink a specific way.

This was a nice little steak house tucked next to a Hilton Garden Inn. It was recommended to us by the concierge at the Midtown Hilton we were staying in. We enjoyed our meal here, both of us had very tasty and well prepared steaks. Like almost all steakhouses in the City the menu was totally ala carte, meaning that... More

I was s advised by the conceierge at the hotel I wa s staying tht this would be a great place for dinner after i completed my audience participation at the taping of the David Letteman show. It was very dark in the restaurant but I suppose that was the ambiance they were trying to create? At any rate, there... More

The Empire Steakhouse is a throwback from the 80s. Huge portions, lacking presentation and thought. We were very disappointed despite the 'Badabing' style service. It offers poor value in my opinion. My veal chop was heavily breaded and the chewy cheese was as thick as the steak. It might suit some, the place was busy. I also didn't like the... More

we opted for this rest. based on it's location to the theater showing Cabaret. The wait staff were very nice and professional and it was downhill from there, overpriced for what it is,the food was avg. I had dry grizzly lamb chops.they ran out of choc mousse cake at 7:30PM! wouldn't return...very disappointing

I visited the Empire Steak House on New Years Eve not expecting to be able to get in however our party of four managed to book a table for 7pm at just an hour's notice. On arrival we were seated immediately and a drinks order was taken promptly. We all went for cocktails which were delicious if a little pricey,... More

More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
