excellent steaks

Went for dinner during a business trip to NY. Tried the rib-eye and it was one of the best I have ever had.... Says a lot. The waiter was quick and attentive. Great wine at reasonable prices. Will definetly come back.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel for our last evening in New York. I cannot fault, the food was fantastic, the service excellent. Extremely fantastic hospitality from Luigi the manager, personal service with my mum and myself. Best streaking have ever had Highly recommended

This was a nice little steak house tucked next to a Hilton Garden Inn. It was recommended to us by the concierge at the Midtown Hilton we were staying in. We enjoyed our meal here, both of us had very tasty and well prepared steaks. Like almost all steakhouses in the City the menu was totally ala carte, meaning that... More

I was s advised by the conceierge at the hotel I wa s staying tht this would be a great place for dinner after i completed my audience participation at the taping of the David Letteman show. It was very dark in the restaurant but I suppose that was the ambiance they were trying to create? At any rate, there... More

The Empire Steakhouse is a throwback from the 80s. Huge portions, lacking presentation and thought. We were very disappointed despite the 'Badabing' style service. It offers poor value in my opinion. My veal chop was heavily breaded and the chewy cheese was as thick as the steak. It might suit some, the place was busy. I also didn't like the... More

My sisters and cousins wanted to plan a get together at a fancier restaurant and since we all love meat, we picked Empire Steak House. The staff was warm and friendly as well as the management. The menu was full size even though we took advantage of NYC restaurant week. We are all going back in the summer to have... More

I had lunch at Empire Steak House during restaurant week. I entered this restaurant by coincidence, so I did not know what to expect. I ordered lentil soup, fillet, and cheesecake. The soup was good, the fillet was very good and the cheesecake excellent. Something to note is that I ordered the fillet with sauce on the side, which was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
