We tried their baked goods at the Ninth Avenue Festival, and the Spinach pie was the best I have ever eaten! The phylo dough was flaky and the spinach, feta cheese, and other ingredients were the best. Also, their desserts are worth the trip.

This Greek bakery has both savory and sweet classic Greek goods. There are no frills here, just an authentic bakery with a warm, old school, family vibe. They let the treats speak for themselves. And, though some items hard to pronounce, they do...in Greek, of course.  I've had many Baklavas in my day, and, I figured that an authentic Greek... More

We went for some Baklava, which was good, but didn't quite stand up to our memories of the delicious treat in Greece, however we also each got one of these little delicious shortbread cookies that literally melted in your mouth. There is no space in the bakery to sit, so you have to take your treats to go, but workers... More

Our guide brought us here on a walking food tour. This place has been open for like 70 years. Had all types of Greek desserts as well as a variety of Streusels. We got a Greek pastry and a Streusel and were pleased with both. If you have a sweet tooth and are in the area you should definitely stop... More

Hubby and I stopped at this Bakery and had fresh Spanakopita right out of the oven. Delicious. Located in Hell's Kitchen. A family run bakery since 1923. Definitely a true gem! They are the last baker in NYC which make their own filo dough. Definitely stop in, you won't regret it.

While there are perfectly good bakeries that are located closer to the FiDi and are more conveniently accessible before / after one of my Wall Street Walking tours...sometimes I simply must make the pilgrimage to 9th Ave to visit Poseidon! While Hell's Kitchen has become over-run with posh, trendy eateries, Poseidon has stuck to its guns and continues to do... More

I used to travel to this blessed bakery in the late 60"s from my college in the Bronx. Now, after years of wanting to so so, I came from Central NJ. and was richly rewarded for the effort. It was as great as I remembered it. We took home various items that seemed just the same as in my youth.... More

For last two months I have been on a search for Kataifi, a decadent honey drenched, nutfilled greek pastry (lighter than baklava). I've had no luck in my upstate new york town of West Sand Lake, where there is very little diversity as far as cuisine is concerned. After searching online, I finally found the Posiedon bakery in Hell's Kitchen... More

We found this bakery while on a tour and went back the next day because the treats were so great. This is a family owned gem! Don't miss this place.
