The only difficult thing about stopping at Amy's for coffee and pastry (or breakfast or lunch) is selecting your pastry. Everything looks amazing. And if it is as good as the chocolate sourdough twist, or cherry scone or challah roll that I tasted, then you cannot go wrong. I need to reveal that my cousin just moved to NYC and... More

We were staying at the Hilton Garden Inn on 8th Ave and went to Amy's for the 3 mornings we were there for breakfast. Yummy muffins, cookies and coffee!

We loved Amy's! We popped in for an iced coffee (best around) a Blueberry danish (best i've tasted, anywhere). We also were convinced by a staff member to have a piece of strawberry short cake. The best decision!! Oh my gosh!!!! The place is fun, beautiful and tasty. We're coming back to NYC in April and have to find accommodation... More

A really great bakery serving also the perfect cafe au lait! Selection of artisan bread with cafe menu to stay or to go. Extra plus for the cute branding. All is fresh, and I believe also mostly made of local and / or organic ingredients. The sandwiches are simply the best ones I have had in a cafe. Try Grilled... More

The staff did their best to manage the queue which spilled out onto the sidewalk--the mark of a good bakery. We were spoilt for choice, with the chocolate twists being the group favourite. The food was excellent, however, as a European, this place was one of the few places which served real hot chocolate with actual chocolate. Definitely my first... More

I used to like this place but their bread quality isn't the same anymore - you cut off a slice an you look at to many air bubbles in the dough. I addition we have had in the last month more than once the situation that we came home and items we ordered and paid for were not in the... More

Sandwiches were delicious...but...the devils food cupcake with chocolate icing was the best cupcake I have ever tasted... dense, moist cake and icing that was very rich and not too sugary. Would definitely recommend.

This place is a rare little find in the West Village. We were walking away from Chelsea Market which was way too crowded to sit and have a warm drink when we reached the Village and stumbled on Amy's. The hot chocolate is handmade using, believe it or not, chocolate ice cream! They bring it to you in a soup... More

this will be short and sweet. we asked the cashier which was better: the coconut cake or the carrot cake. no hesitation: “coconut cake hands down” i love when people don’t hesitate because they are that sure. i have been obsessing over coconut cake ever since i tried the famous coconut cake in pebble beach. well it was my favorite... We sought Amy's out based on reviews. It was a cold morning and the warm atmosphere with the great aromas was just what we wanted. We tried few breads and pastries that were all excellent. I had a pressed cheddar and ham biscuit that delicious. The coffee was good after you give it a chance to cool.
