Professional and fresh bakery

Very attentive service and catering to our sugary palette. Donates bread to Nonprofits like Fountain house daily. A great neighborhood pastry that is well known throughout manhattan.

Decided to stop in with my daughter as we were walking around the Times Square area. As soon as you open the door the delicious smells of fresh bread hit your senses. Most of the people in line seemed like regulars, knowing exactly what they wanted and took their stuff to go. The staff was really great. I spotted a... More

The black and white cupcake or cake slice is the winner for best in NYC! Extremely moist and sweet without being too sweet makes this one a winner for sure.

I found Amy's Bread down ninth avenue one day when exploring. I purchased from both Amy's Bread & it's nextdoor neighbour, Amy's Pantry. Both stores are excellent offering a wide range of goodies to purchase for meals or gifts. I bought myself 2 or their quirky teatowels & some small jars of gourmet mayonnaise & aioli. I would have like... More

We really enjoyed Amy's Bread. We went 3 times over the course of 4 days and never experienced the lines that people talk about in the reviews. The pistachio twists are to die. My daughter really enjoyed the cheese rolls. As mentioned there is no bathroom but that seemed like a common problem in NYC.

I am a baker therefore very picky about cupcakes. Magnolia, Sprinkles etc..do not even come close to Amys cupcakes plus the others are so expensive you are basically paying for the name and not an outstanding cupcake .. now Amys is far above the rest and their prices well lets just say they are normal $2.75 for one cupcake ..... On a recent trip to New York, we ate breakfast twice at Amy's and the food was delicious. We got pan au chocolat, bacon and egg muffins, ham and cheese croissants, sticky buns, and pistachio twists. All great. We had good luck with getting tables too, which was nice.

This is really a nice breakfast and sweet bite place with fresh bread and donough and NYC cheesecake. But no toilet. So for the price you pay it may be OK but please consider that if you step by during a long NYC walk, this is not the place for a full relax

I just finished my sticky bun and pistachio twist and I can't believe I didn't order eight more pastries. Everything looked so enticing but I tried to make a reasonable decision and not overeat but all I want to do is go back and order those both again, throw in some fruit cake, a scone or two, a raisin walnut... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
