Great Meal and Friendly Service

Had the tuna and scallops and the meal was great. Not too expensive although drinks were pretty expensive. Will go back again as pretty enjoyable.

I took my team here for lunch today and it was the first time for all of us. We were delightfully surprised. It's such a charming restaurant and the prix fixe lunch menu was superb. We all kept saying how amazing the food was and how we will definitely be back for lunch or happy hour/dinner very soon. Service was... More

I highly recommend the deviled egg sampler, I actually had to bring my husband back the following day so that he could try them (he had meetings the day I stumbled across this quaint little spot). All of our brunch food was stellar. We sat at the bar as we did not have reservations. Call ahead to reserve a seat... More

The House is a charming restored carriage house restaurant. The staff is extremely accommodating and willing to work with customers with dietary issues. It is romantic in its intimacy. The second floor has approximately 20 tables. The menu is unique but very American in its offerings. Great date night place. It is a Gramercy restaurant well worth the visit.

We ate at this restaurant on our first night in Manhattan. What a way to start our trip. The food was fantastic- would recommend the scallops to start- they were delicious. Good cocktails here. The staff were lovely and really helpful!

I eaten here for various reasons, birthdays, anniversaries or just a romantic Friday night out. Each floor has its own 'atmosphere' and would encourage reservations for the type of evening expected. We had the top floor, corner, which IMHO, is the most romantic spot The House. The service was fantastic as well as the duck cooked to perfection and their... More

At this restaurant with three dining levels, I ate at the ground level, at the bar (see photo) because they did not have a table available. I have submitted a photo of the bar, the bar dining area, and the upstairs dining area (the nicest of the three levels). The service at the bar was slow and indifferent. I started... More

We were fortunate enough to eat here last saturday night at the suggestion of a friend who lives in NY. AMAZING!! Probably only seats 25-30 people, which is so refreshing in a city like NY. You finally don't feel like one in a million, and not at all like a tourist. We had the Mushroom Fricassee appetizer... AMAZING!! a 10... More

Perfect place to celebrate our anniversary! We were warmly greeted by the staff and seated at a wonderful table by the upstairs window. We started with the squash soup and Hamachi and continued with the short ribs and chicken. All were well prepared and seasoned. Ended with an excellent creme brûlée. Will return!

The House is most special for its ambience. That's the main reason we returned for our third visit in a year. But it's also got great food and service. Four of us enjoyed a great Saturday night dinner. I had the Hamachi Crudo, which was perfect, followed by the Farro Risotto. Others in the party had the Mushroom Fricasse, Bibb... More
