Friendly staff. Amazing food. Pasta, salads, and desserts are fresh and tasty at a great price. So happy we found this gem.
Grew up in Chicago, so I know my pizza, and while this is different from the best Chicago pizzas it is extremely good, fresh, excellent thin crust. Highly recommended. You cannot eat better in NYC for ten dollars a plate (plus drinks).
This is not just for traditionalists. Our family of four each had a different personal pan pizza including the shroomtown (melange of mushrooms with white truffle oil), salsiccia dulce (sausage heaven), and giardinera (fresh, gleaming broccoli florets , garlic cloves and tomatoes) all on a crackling thin crust.
Me and my Dad visited this restaurant after seeing positive reviews on Trip Advisor, and we weren't disappointed. We were staying in a hotel round the corner and as we went on our first Night in New York as we were shattered and wanted somewhere local. The food was amazing, I'm a huge pizza fan but this was possibly the... More
Had a very good pizza at this establishment. Place was rammed & it seemed full of locals, which can only seem like a good thing. The lass on the door got us sorted inside of about 5 minutes. Bartender & waitress did their job spot on. Will visit again when in NYC
Ok so this place was pretty manic busy when we went it in, but I always judge that that means it's a good place to go. We weren't disappointed. Really good menu choice and friendly service, nice atmosphere for couples and groups alike.
Great Pizza, great draft beer and lovely atmosphere. The pizza is full of flavor, as thin as one can possibly make a pizza and just delicious. Vezzo is well worth a visit specially. The service was fast and efficient and we were a large party with little kids. Dessert of Bread Pudding was decedent and well worth a try.
Vezzo's "thin crust" pizza may be the worst pizza I have ever eaten. NY has great pizzerias (I grew up there)--John's in Greenwich Village, Otto's, etc., but this place is atrocious. We ordered a "Classica": it came with tasteless mozzarella cheese, bad unseasoned sauce, and chopped unripe tomatoes sliding around on a hard, thin base that was more like a... More
How can you describe a place like this? It a great pizzeria. The pizzas are amazing - clearly, they are baked and cooked from underneath, allowing a maga crispy thin base with a wet topping - unbelievable. The wine prices are very attractive, much better than uptown rip-off prices. If you want a Romana style pizza in NY, this place... More
Don't even think of ordering pasta. Have a pizza and maybe a kale salad. That's it. The pizzas are excellent if you don't want a lot of carbs.
