Description: Thai Select seeks to thrill the New York epicure with Thai that's global...
Thai Select seeks to thrill the New York epicure with Thai that's global, fresh and fun. Located in the midtown-west area of Manhattan, Thai Select offers healthy, modern Thai cuisine with worldly flare. Although the signature taste remains authentic Thai in flavor, the presentation might be a bit French in aesthetics, a bit Italian in portion and a bit Japanese in simplicity. With dishes like Kee Mao Fettuccini (made with whole wheat pasta) and Fruit Fried Rice (stir-fried with seasonal fruits), Thai Crabcake (encrusted to perfection) and Coconut Puff Martini (jumbo shrimp hand-battered in coconut strips), the kitchen selects only the very best dishes in Thai cuisine and only the freshest of ingredients picked from the farmer's market for our patrons; hence the name, Thai Select.

Delicious thai food

Our hotel recommended this little Thai gem to us. The food was probably the best Thai food I have ever had and it was extremely reasonably priced. Service was great and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Based on the name you'd think this place was just another fast and easy Thai food joint. I was surprised in the evening ambiance. It's a nice place for a date or to meet friends. They were having happy hour until 8pm which was 1/2 price any mixed drink, wine & beer. The food was quite good - not super... More

We ate here 4 days out of the 7 days we had in NYC. The food here is really good, I would recommend their green and red curry dishes. Staff is really friendly and meticulous and is so affordable. Love this place!!

I had the Phad Thai Gai (chicken), and it was as authentic as I've been able to find in the USA. I always appreciate a Thai restaurant run by Thai people.

Get here during happy hour if you can! The apps are delicious. I highly recommend the cozy duck rolls. If you've ever had peking duck, it's like that wrapped up in a small roll, super yummy. The bartender made very tasty drinks. The sake was very good as well. I got the pad thai with shrimp. The shrimp were big... More

Did takeout here when visiting recently. Nice for the price... they handed me a water to sip while waiting at the bar for the food which I thought was a nice touch.

Loved the food at this Thai place. Everyone's dish offered a nice sized portion and was very tasty. The atmosphere is good, although the lighting is pretty minimal as it gets later in the evening. The wait staff was very friendly, but a little uneven. I've eaten here twice, and would go back again. Any negative aspect mentioned here is... More

Dropped in because the reviews are excellent. We were not dissapointed. The quality of food and service was excellent. The value for money was top class. We had a starter and main course for just 40 dollars and this included a glass of wine each. It was happy hour so the wine was half price per glass. Staff were excellent.... More

The food, the service, and the cost were all incredible. I had the duck wrap appetizer and the crispy duck pad Thai for my entree. Both dishes were two of the best I have ever had. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting NYC. Awesome!!

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
