Description: Thai Select seeks to thrill the New York epicure with Thai that's global...
Thai Select seeks to thrill the New York epicure with Thai that's global, fresh and fun. Located in the midtown-west area of Manhattan, Thai Select offers healthy, modern Thai cuisine with worldly flare. Although the signature taste remains authentic Thai in flavor, the presentation might be a bit French in aesthetics, a bit Italian in portion and a bit Japanese in simplicity. With dishes like Kee Mao Fettuccini (made with whole wheat pasta) and Fruit Fried Rice (stir-fried with seasonal fruits), Thai Crabcake (encrusted to perfection) and Coconut Puff Martini (jumbo shrimp hand-battered in coconut strips), the kitchen selects only the very best dishes in Thai cuisine and only the freshest of ingredients picked from the farmer's market for our patrons; hence the name, Thai Select.

Nice!

Nice place, been there only to pick up my lunch, but larger than I had expected, beautifully decorated, wuirt, though busy. Food is good - not the best Thai food in NYC, but definitely appetizing and good, even too large of portions. Will come back - next time, to stay in!

There are a lot of Thai restaurants in this area, I've been to this one 4-5 times and it's fine, nothing really special, but consistent. I mostly stick to the curries and the salads. A few times it's been too spicy, even thought I ask for mild, but it's really no big deal.

Typical Asian take out food available. Not too good - not too bad - but -one of the only places close to our hotel and so it fit the bill.

We fancied some Asian cuisine, so found this on trip advisor. We had spring rolls, duck wraps and edamame as well as some chicken dumplings for starters. Then we had two pad Thai and a chicken and papaya salad. We had to send the chicken back as it was still raw inside , so be careful and check before eating.... More

Nice place. Friendly and quick service. The prices are reasonable. We were four and paid 120 incl. tips; soup, curry and dessert. The crispy duck pineapple curry was very good. I was here three years ago and I'm happy to come back :-)

Wow - after a day shopping we were exhausted! I was starving and we decided on Thai - as we were on Herald Sq at Macys this place came us as closest. We walked the 10mins. Absolutely gorgeous - i had the virgin mojito - out of this world! Prawns and honey duck for mains! Big portions. Excellent service -... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
