Description: Thai Select seeks to thrill the New York epicure with Thai that's global, fresh and fun. Located in the midtown-west area of Manhattan, Thai Select offers healthy, modern Thai cuisine with worldly flare. Although the signature taste remains authentic Thai in flavor, the presentation might be a bit French in aesthetics, a bit Italian in portion and a bit Japanese in simplicity. With dishes like Kee Mao Fettuccini (made with whole wheat pasta) and Fruit Fried Rice (stir-fried with seasonal fruits), Thai Crabcake (encrusted to perfection) and Coconut Puff Martini (jumbo shrimp hand-battered in coconut strips), the kitchen selects only the very best dishes in Thai cuisine and only the freshest of ingredients picked from the farmer's market for our patrons; hence the name, Thai Select.

My wife an I ate here one night during a 1 week holiday in NYC. This small Thai restaurant was just a couple of blocks from our hotel and had good reviews on Trip Advisor. I can emphatically say we were not disappointed. The food was excellent, as was the service. We were also lucky enough to eat during the... More

We popped in here on a whim, with very hungry bellies and were not disappointed. We chose the duck pad thai, duck with pok choi and the lobster fried rice, which was absolutely mouth watering. Service was ok - not the best I've had in NYC but the food was plentiful and delicious, and really reasonable. Thumbs up!

The place is always crowded and sometimes you have to wait for a table but the food is worth it. It is authentic, beautifully presented and delicious. Every time I am in New York I make sure I have a meal there. Brav

Thai Select has delicious Thai food! I met a friend at the restaurant (her suggestion) before catching a train at Penn Station, and it was excellent. It has a typical Manhattan feel with somewhat cramped seating. The service was pretty good (except it took 15 minutes to get our check because it was so crowded). Also, I had asked if... More

ON a very hot humid day, we just walked into this restaurant as it was the closest. We are glad that we did. It has wonderful service, always smiling staff and a happy hour all days until 8pm (all non cocktail from 11am-8pm half off and I think cocktail half off from 4-8pm). We had the tom kha gai soup... We found the food at this restaurant well prepared, tasty and inexpensive. The staff was always smiling and went out of their way to make us feel welcomed. They also have a "Happy Hour" until 8 where all drinks are half-price. We loved this place and actually went twice.

This place has amazing authentic Thai food at a very affordable price. Service was also very good - waiter was very attentive and got to us within a short amount of time of sitting down. I had the Beef Pad Thai for dinner and the deep fried banana with coconut ice cream. Definitely coming back here when i'm back in... More

We went for dinner and the whole family loved it. Good choice of starters, noodle and rice dishes - very tasty food, fresh and well presented. The service was very friendly and rapid and prices very reasonable. Loved it!

Nice place with lovely ambiance and not far from Penn Station. I had the Jumbo Shrimp Mieng - dish of jumbo shrimp, topped with roast peanuts, shallots, ginger, a ton of toasted coconut, lime and Northern herbs mieng sauce. Delicious. My companion had a beautifully cooked (and ample) piece of salmon nestled on top of noodles and mango and veg.
