Downstairs is a young, noisy bar scene. If you're looking for adult fare, then navigate the narrow, dark stairs up to the main dining room. we thoroughly enjoyed the antiquity retained in this unique and fabulous restaurant. The staff is knowledgable and have a great sense of humor The menu is innovative and the results are yummy. This is a must try for brunch. I cannot wait to go back

I forgot that I had been to this restaurant before, and as a result I went there today. There was definite improvement in my experience there. Last time I gave the restaurant two bullets, today I gave it three. I started off with a special of the day which was bone marrow with oxtail as an accompaniment. The bone marrow... More

Having read the reviews, my wife and I had high expectations for bobo, and we were really looking forward to a nice dinner of moules-frites. Walking in the door, the first impression was good: a friendly reception nice atmosphere, and attentive waitstaff. The moules were problematic, however: seriously undercooked. Tepid. Moule sashimi, basically. And bland to boot, as they had... More

What more can you ask for? It's a beautiful room, excellent and imaginative menu, fine service. We will go back - especially in the Summer when the patio opens

My girlfriends and I chose Bobo for a girls' weekend dinner after hearing good things from other friends. We ended up a big disappointed... First, I made the reservation almost two months prior to us visiting, requesting a table near the window as we were celebrating three birthdays and it was larger and more comfortable than the tables. We were... More

I reserved on the web and requested a romantic table for date night. The maitre'd acknowledged to request when we entered and sat us upstairs next to the fireplace. What a charming space! The service was excellent, and the waiter's recommendations were quite on point. He wasn't afraid to steer us away from a dish we asked about, which always... More

We recently had our intimate wedding at Bobo NYC. The entire experience was magical: from the friendly, wonderful staff to the excellent food and cocktails. Our guests are still telling us how much they loved Bobo and have requested we hold all our anniversary parties there. No detail was too small for them to address and they went above and... More

A party of five, we greatly enjoyed a Saturday nite dinner. It was definitely time well spent. From the bar through all the service, we felt well received. The location is ideal, the restaurant fills two floors in an ancient building. The food was universally excellent. We all will return.

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
