Nice place with gorgeous decor

This place is really nice. The decor is beautiful and makes you feel like you went back in time. The food is pretty good and the bar is very nice and welcoming. Would go back.

I just didn't care for it very much. The menu offerings were non appealing so I got a "breakfast sandwich" and it was just ok. You know it looked nice but was basically not even as good as something you might get at a fast food drive through.

Architecturally a complete gem, with lovely stain glass windows dating back to 1903, comfortable great interior and good value for money. A very good brunch menu with mimosa thrown in! The evening menu has a range of daily specials, beautifully cooked and typically large New York sized portions. There is a popular bar, with a good mixture of locals and... More

The restaurant is very close to the Hilton Garden Inn on west 35th and guests at the Hotel receive a 15% discount on food. The decor is good, with the bar at the front and restaurant towards the back.

After a short walk past the bar, our table for two was next to the gas fireplace in the back. The restaurant has beautiful décor and the service was excellent. I ordered the steak dinner, with asparagus and baked potato. Everything was generous and delicious. I would definitely eat there again!

I had the crab cakes which were absolutely fantastic. I had the goat cheese mushroom salad which was very good other than the uncooked mushrooms. My concern is that there are fruit flies around the food and it's sub degrees January New York weather which means there's actual eggs somewhere in this restaurant or kitchen. I don't think they would... More

Good recommendation from Trip Advisor. Good food, good service, reasonable price. A tasteful Angus hamburger and a glass of Argentinian malbec by USD 29.00

I visited Brendan's for brunch when my sister and I were visiting NYC just before Thanksgiving. Friends who live about 90 minutes away joined us. I chose this restaurant because it was across the street from our hotel which was within walking distance to Penn Station. This was our last day in the city and we didn't want to feel... More

I visited Brendan's Bar & Grill with my brother, we decided to go for the pizza and it was probably one of the best pizza's we have tasted before. The only negative thing I can say is the tables were very close together and through out my whole time eating there, the person next to me watched me and was... More

Not to confused with 'Irish' bars full of shamrocks and signs for Guinness, Brendan's is a comfortable bar with a classic interior serving a wide range of good beers and wine and excellent bar food. We ate there on a couple of occasions during our trip and each meal was well cooked, tasty and just what we wanted - the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
