Such a friendly place, with good food

We stopped by here on a weekday afternoon for a drink and appetizer. It was great. The bartender (Andrew) was from Ireland and he was so friendly and easy to talk to. The bar was not crowded so he could chat. The drinks were not expensive and contained a good amount of alcohol. We had the... read more

Looks like a sports bar from the front but very nice candle lit restaurant at the back. Directly facing our hotel we ate here twice after long hot busy days. Service and food are very good but we enjoyed some dishes more than others. Prices are mid range but NY is expensive we found generally. Wine list was good choice... More

Some of the friendliest bar staff in New York City who are not afraid to buy YOU a drink!!. Terrific Irish Pub with superb decor. Excellent pint of Guinness. Perfect location for bit of refreshment prior to visiting the Empire State Building.

right opposite Hotel Metro, this was an airy and spacious restaurant/bar. We dined here twice and found the food more than adequate on both occasions, moderately priced and flavoursome. The service was fast and friendly. It is often said that New Yorkers are rude and aggressive but nowhere did I find this on our trip

The restaurant is located close to Herald square between 5th and 6th avenue and is decorated very nice and elegant. We ordered the "soup of the day", spinach and dill soup that was hot and very tasty Then we eat a pepperoni pizza that was made exactly as we liked, thin, crispy with lot of cheese and pepperoni. The othe... More

We were staying across the street so we tried it with no expectations and found it was wonderful. Had lamb stew, best stew I ever ate! Husband had lamb chops, also excellent. Great service, attractive room, and prices not bad for fine dining in NYC.

It looks like a typical Irish restaurant. The food is surprisingly tasty. We had the pastas and they were all great. The service was good. And if you're a beer lover, they have many good beers.

Tried this place on a first evening in New York, after reading reports on Trip Advisor. The dining area was very spacious and interesting architecturally. Unfortunately this amplified the noise from other groups of diners, who in common with most bars we visited, did not come fitted with a volume control. We were initially shown a table tucked in a... The food in the dining room at Brendan's was good, the surroundings were attractive and the wine was reasonable value. However, we found that particularly if ordering more than one course the food was served rather too quickly (in one case my main course arrived whilst I was still eating my starter with little recognition that the latter needed to... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
