went to market table for a special event in their private dining room downstairs. the room is really lovely and quiet. the meal was excellent- three choices for appetizers, three possible main courses, three desserts. i would return in a heartbeat.

We went to Market Table for a business group dinner. They have a private room downstairs and we had our own server. He was very attentive, checked for food allergies with each individual and was very knowledgeable about each course. The food was absolutely outstanding and delicious. Portions were just right, not small. Highly recommend!
Found the restaurant in a Zagat short-list and checked both tripadvisor and their home page, before booking. This was such a pleasant surprise!
Really cosy place. It looks and feels like a neibourhood restaurant/tavern, but the food is really special! Great tasting dishes of fair price and size. Great selection of beers and wines and very good service.

We went here for Mother's Day brunch and everything was delicious! Great food, drinks, service and decor. Highly recommended!

Having read the reviews on Tripadvisor booked via open table for our stay this week. Food was outstanding as was ambience and service. We went for the Monday night burger and a beer combination and the burgers were absolutely wonderful. We also had a delicious pea soup and lovely dessert. In a really interesting part of NYC too.
Walked in off the street because we liked the look of it. Were seated right away and had a lovely meal with good service. My friend had artic char and I had duck, wonderfully served over stewed rhubarb. We shared a nice bottle of wine recommended by the waitress and had a lovely time.
We walked in off the street when we were unable to get a table at Little Owl. Lovely interior design, cool and cosy rather than cool and chic. Extremely friendly and professional. Great food and desserts! If there weren't so many great restaurants in this city I would go back!
We came across this restaurant across from our rental apt by chance, we were not referred to it but it proved to be someplace which we would highly recommend to all our friends. The friendliness of the proprietor, the staff, followed by the superb quality of the food is memorable!
Market Table is a must-do in NYC. The food, ambience, and service was top notch. The "farm to table" concept is quite prevalent where I am from in Charleston, SC so it was interesting for me to compare this with what I have experienced at home. I loved that there were chalkboards displayed highlighting different farms/vendors used. The menu is...
