It's a nice restaurant across from Columbia University, so the crowd is eclectic. There were four of us on a Sunday night. We had to remind them to deliver our drink order which took way-too-long to reach our table. When they did arrive, they were not very good. Couldn't taste the alcohol in them! Food took even longer to arrive and when... More

Chopped salad was the best ever. We enjoyed pumpkin and squash ravioli, rice bowl with chicken and a hamburger. The hamburger was average. The rest was very good. We will return.

We have eaten at Community twice now and have been pleased with the food both times. The service is also excellent. They know how to serve breakfast right!!!

This is a relatively new restaurant near Columbia (next door to Le Monde). It features organic/healthy food, but you can also get a burger and fries. Full of Columbia students and quite trendy people (bearing in mind that this is the Upper West Side) and is a great addition to the neighborhood. Portion sizes are a little erratic. The kale... More

I wish they had this in DC- similar vibe to Founding Farmers, but less hyped and with healthier options.

Nice option for brunch or lunch. I find they always have the nicest wait staff and the food does not disappoint.

We were looking for a restaurant for people with very different tastes. One, a burger freak, the other a vegan/gluten free/macrobiotic freak. Community Food was great. We both ended up having the rice bowls (not what either of us had planned) and they were excellent. With both indoor and outdoor seating it's a perfect place for summer dining. Perfectly located... Spent the weekend visiting the neighborhood, and had dinner the night we arrived. Fairly small but excellent menu selection, with options for both the omnivore and vegetarians in our group. Good drinks, fresh and wonderfully seasoned food, and reasonably priced. We went back again for brunch on Sunday, and the multi-grain waffles were outstanding! Fresh whipped cream, juicy berries, and... More

This restaurant clearly caters to local residents and Columbia and Barnard students' parents, according to our Barnard niece, who enjoys the food. We were neither impressed with the service nor the food. Our beet salad was delicious but it took over a half hour after that to get our main courses. My rare lamb was charcoal black and the presentation... More

Ate there for lunch ..... limited menu, seemed like mostly students (and their families) > I ordered a vege burger (mashed chick peas). When I asked them to add lettuce, she said it'd be $1 extra (for lettuce? well, it is NY.... but it's too greedy for me) The vege burger was mushy and had no flavor. My fries were... More
