We were planning t have a drink at the cafe in the Rockefeller Centre, in the middle, where the ice rink is in winter. But we walked in and out, it was awful. But rhulman had tables outside which where perfect, if expensive, people watching drinks. I would not go, if I could not get a table outside. Service is... More

Came here after watching the sunset at the top of the rock. As we were coming for a special occasion we let the restaurant know and they reserved us a wonderful table and surprised us with a couple glasses of champagne. The waiter was great and recommended us a fine wine and provided meal recommendations. Enjoyed the ambiance and would... More

NY is expensive when you want to eat and drink good. This is not less expensive than the others, buth worth your money. We were sitting outside for lunch. Very good and polite service. Very tasty food. And you have the street to look at with all the curious people out there. You also can sit inside with A/C. One... More

Sat outside right in the Plaza on a beautiful day for a late lunch. Our waitress, can't remember her name, but she was great, very attentive and pleasant. Just ordered beer, my wife got the house Pinot Grigio which she said was great & we both ordered burgers with dirty fries. The food came out in a timely fashion, both... More

After a day of traveling around midtown Manhattan, we passed Rockefeller Center and decided to take a break. We passed Brasserie Ruhlmann and being a nice day, decided to people watch over a drink and light refreshments. The service was excellent, the menu more that adequate for our needs for a short break. The place settings were also great. My... More

This is just across the road from the Rockefeller Center and gives the impression that it is there to catch the unwary. Maybe we were lucky but we arrived on the Friday evening of Memorial Weekend and got a table for two outside without booking. The ambience is great, with some fascinating art deco reliefs on the wall above you.... More

I have always eaten outside here, though the inside of the restaurant looks very nice, especially for a brasserie. The people watching on a nice afternoon is second to none, a steady stream of humanity goes by. The food is always good, I had the steak tartar, entre portion. It was very good. I washed it down with a bottle... More

Situated across Rockefeller Plaza, Brasserie Ruhlmann offers both outside terrace seating (during summer months) as well as inside. We were there for lunch with prior reservation (recommended). After 12.30 hardly any seating is available anymore, Great luncheon choices. We tried cold tomato soup, smoked salmon tartine and also the moules mariniere. Quite big dishes with very tasty and excellent food.... More

Met friends for drinks and appetizers and decided to stay for dinner, in part based on the excellence of the appetizer we shared, the service, and the comfort of the location. Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
