I've heard about the restaurant from friends who visit NYC. The first hurdle was of course getting a reservation. The trick that worked for me was 'practice'. Get an account, login, and try the system a week before the date(s) you have in mind. I'd give this restaurant a 6 for ambience and a 10 for food selection. It was,... More

From start to finish, Ko is wonderful. A tiny little room with just 12 diners sitting at the kitchen bar as the 3 chefs go about their work. Only a couple of wait staff needed as all they really have to do is pour the wine and clear plates...the chefs do all the serving. We went for dinner and chose... More

When you are enjoying the food so much as well as the conversation with the chef, on top of the experience of watching your food getting prepared, the 3 hours spent at the restaurant just flies. I would definitely return if I am ever so lucky to lock in another session whilst I am in NY again.

We had the 16 course lunch and every single one was amazing. The two Michelin Stars are truly deserved. With wine and tip we landed on $300 per person but it was worth every dollar. The best meal I've ever had. It's definitely worth the struggle to get a table. No mobile phones are allowed so you can eat in... More

We were lucky enough to get a booking at Momofuku Ko on our recent visit to NY. Bookings only occur 10 days out so I stayed up late to secure a booking and it was definitely worth it! The food was absolutely amazing and it is a fantastic experience to watch the chefs up close in action. The service was... More

I had asked myself if waking up before 7am (pacific) for 3 days in a row to try to nab a reservation (3rd time's the charm) was going to be worth it. It definitely was. The restaurant itself is very small; like others have mentioned, only 12 seats in front of the kitchen. The stools are actually pretty comfortable as... More

I'm so happy I've been able to go to Momofuku Ko before they move to the bigger space. I've been lucky enough to eat at some fantastic restaurants all over the world, but the overall experience at Ko is truly exceptional. The intimate setting of only a dozen or so seats encourages interaction not only with your party but also... More

Loved everything (except the seats) however, you forget about the seats as the experience was so enjoyable. Look forward to many more visits to Momofuko Ko! The food was excellent, loved talking to the chefs, staff and other diners at the bar. Was hesitant about going, and so glad we went. Thank you!!

You sit at a counter and they bring you very small plates of food for a very long time. Each small plate has something that in almost any other restaurant would be the highlight of the meal, the dish you went home talking about and took your friends back for. Since it is so small (seats 12 I think), the... More

True gourmands won't be disappointed (particularly if they go before Ko moves to a larger space in September.) Expect creative, exquisite small dishes with perfectly balanced sauces prepared right before you at the counter. The dinners I've had at Momofuku have been the best I've ever had.
