I would describe the food at Ko to be very unique. It combines technique, (No less skill than any 3 star estabs) fun and unique flavor pairings perfectly. I loved my time spent at Ko. It was so laid back and casual, yet the food there was so serious. I felt as if i was eating at my friend's home... More

We knew of David Choe and came here to see his wonderful art work throughout the place; and ended with having one of the most magnificent meals ever. The 14 course small plate dishes were designed and prepared with sensual creativity using the best ingredients, laborious preparation, and finest French, Asian and other cooking techniques. Pairing of ingredients were exceptional... More

I have been following David Cheng forever. He is so cool. He is obsessed with food (as a chef should be), but makes it exquisite, fun and unpretentious. All the while, offering some of the best quality ingredients and preparations possible. The tasting menu is a joy at every bite, every morsel. Service was greatl The atmosphere is relaxed and... Exquisite on every level.. Super relaxed unpretentious atmosphere.. Every dish perfectly executed, service impeccable.. I'm not a crazy adventurous eater but this place opened my mind to food, really blown away.

...will be hard for anything to match it. Really special food; the chefs are killing it in the kitchen. Service was top (putting our recent meal at Degustation's servers to shame). Seating could be more comfortable. Only complaint was the music. It's a short review, because I'm plugging away in my iPhone right after dinner. It was my best meal... More

This is by far the best restaurant I've eaten in and I've had a few experiences at some top Japanese restaurants. The food was mind boggling in terms of the intricate flavours and the amount of variety. All the courses were well thought out and truly delicious! The intimate setting watching what the chefs do is unforgettable and we will... More

We visited Momofuku Ko for my 30th birthday and it certainly lived up to the occasion and to its excellent reputation. Getting a reservation was easier than I imagined. Just a case of setting up an account in advance and then making sure you're logged on and ready when the places for the day you want are released. One thing... More

Amazing food, fantastic service and atmosphere (love the indie / Rock music playing) and we got to meet David Chang! Highlights were the mackerel sabazushi, bronzino and uni. One of the best meals of my life.

We went for lunch, which we had heard was even more spectacular here than the dinner. Everything was mind blowing! Loved this place, and would really like to return here some day.

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
