Well worth it!

Every plate was my new favorite food. Was a fun atmosphere. The cocktails and wine pairing were amazing. Would highly recommend!

Visited here as a birthday treat and thoroughly enjoyed the experience and meal. It clearly was not worth $520 before tip for a meal for two but the place is full difficult to book and a real culinary experience. Not sure it's cutting edge anymore but very good.

we were there on a freezing nite in Jan 2015 and the very last nite of our holiday in nyc. We couldnt have had a better way of wrapping up our trip. Everything is tops and faultless. Food, is so great. Staff and service too. Chefs that serve you have the right amount of personality. Everyone is so happy to... More

It was easy to find, as long as you know it was between Second Ave and Third Ave. A little alley way is 8 Extra Place. We did not have to wait and was seated right away for our 6:15PM reservation time. The usual pleasantries and drinks order occured and the small plates started to arrive at a good pace.... More

Had a great tasting menu here, the fermented radish butter with there homemade sourdough is the best butter I've ever tasted. I asked if they could package and sell it. Wine pairing was good too when I went was all sparkling wines which is different to see and enjoyed how they mixed it up by putting different liquors to change... More

I would describe the food at Ko to be very unique. It combines technique, (No less skill than any 3 star estabs) fun and unique flavor pairings perfectly. I loved my time spent at Ko. It was so laid back and casual, yet the food there was so serious. I felt as if i was eating at my friend's home... More

We knew of David Choe and came here to see his wonderful art work throughout the place; and ended with having one of the most magnificent meals ever. The 14 course small plate dishes were designed and prepared with sensual creativity using the best ingredients, laborious preparation, and finest French, Asian and other cooking techniques. Pairing of ingredients were exceptional... More

I have been following David Cheng forever. He is so cool. He is obsessed with food (as a chef should be), but makes it exquisite, fun and unpretentious. All the while, offering some of the best quality ingredients and preparations possible. The tasting menu is a joy at every bite, every morsel. Service was greatl The atmosphere is relaxed and... Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
