"Hidden"

Visited this restaurant on the suggestion of a colleague. It is literally in the basement, so if you don't like confined spaces, you should pass but if you can bear it the food is worth it. Great service and great food.

Food was delicious fresh and very reasonably priced especially in nyc Panzanella salad, caprese salad, olive tray, meatball, eggplant parmigian -all these were excellent. Carbonara pasta, pork chop and halibut as our entrees were all delicious. the waiter gave us the best recommendations. don't forget to leave room for the bread pudding and chocolate soufflé. I would return again in a heartbeat:)

The food was delicious, The wine surpassed what we had in Florence and Rome, and Vito was entertaining. Inloved the warm beet salad with Gorgonzola, the veal, and the tiramisu.

My daughter and I dined here before the NYU First Run Film Festival last Saturday night. We were on a tight timeline and didn't have reservations, but the staff were able to seat us in the back room. What a beautiful room! Brick walls, eclectic decor, chandeliers, huge windows opening onto a tiny inside courtyard. The tiny bathroom was so... More

A charming, small, and uniquely quiet restaurant in the Bowery/Nolita area of NYC! The food was absolutely delicious - prepared flawlessly and priced reasonably. This place is a real gem and somewhat of a sleeper to people outside the neighborhood. The dinner was first rate, as was the service. I ordered a fantastic pasta as a first course which was... More

We've eaten here several times, always bringing friends to introduce them to this delightful, "quirky" space with wonderful food and excellent service. Several years ago, my family arranged a birthday dinner for me in the downstairs private room and the choice could not have been better. If you're looking for a new experience slightly off the beaten path - go!

Off the beaten path, this northern Italian is a hidden gem. If I could I'd of given it 4 1/2 stars. Had octopus appetizer and fish main course here several times and keep returning. But my colleagues have enjoyed everything else on the menu, too. About $75@ including wine.

Don't be put off by the somewhat downmarket appearance and narrow entrance and dining room; you are in for a treat! Olives and delicious bread are delivered automatically, the menu has appealing Italian dishes, and the wines are very well chosen. Even wines by the glass are poured from the bottle but only after you are offered a taste. The... More

Really amazing evening. Located on a nondescript street but once you enter, you are in a pretty unique place. Bar dining up front with a very nice dining room in the back. Staff was very attentive and friendly. We ate three courses and drank a couple bottles of wine. Next time I am in that part of NYC, I am... More

Lovely small personal restaurant. Food was great. Service was impeccable. Great care is taken to match interesting flavors and foods together - it is not your run of the mill restaurant. Excellent wine selection.
