Delicious

This unpretentious bistro is amazingly fine! The service is perfect, the food is delicious ( try the zuchinni and cirn risotto) and the ambience is super cool! Loved it!

This restaurant is a little hidden gem. A beautiful hidden garden that was perfect to hold my daughters bridal shower. I had to do it all long distance from Arizona, but Colm the owner was so helpful. The food was delicious, the staff attentive, I'm still thinking of a few bites left behind! I highly recommend this for any event,... More

We popped in for dinner on a Tuesday night (to celebrate Bastille Day!) with 5 family members ranging in age from 11 to 70 and all had a great dinner. We were there early, so we got first class service from the owner and manager, and they really made it a very memorable evening. We had the calamari appetizer which... More

The airy and abundantly planted patio was a welcome antidote to hours of flying and having to go through LaGuardia. The evening got even better as the food arrived. The crispy calamari was the most perfectly prepared we've eaten. My husband and I like to order different entrees, but neither of us could resist the seafood linguine with homemade pasta,... More

We chose this place for the combo of the garden room setting and the reviews of the food (and it's location). The garden actually has a tent "roof" over most of it but we were at the edge and able to see the sky which is what we wanted. Plenty of lush plants around the edges. Entrees and desserts were... Great food and very nice staff. Cute place and good prices. Had the roasted chickens itch mashed potatoes and green beans. All wonderful. Green beans were crisp tender and not cooked to mush!

My wife found this restaurant on tripadvisor and it turned out to be a real gem. The food is priced mid-range (for NY) at around $20-$30US per entrée. Wine selection was fairly good and had a decent selection for a variety of price points. I had the steak frites and my wife had the cassoulet which were both amazing tasty.... More

Staff were very happy, welcoming and invited us in even though we were early and they were still setting up. Got us started on wine, bread, and appetizers. The garden is very nice, creative, and relaxing. Both our meals were excellent, lots of taste, great prices, and we both left full. Will return to Tree Bistro next time we find... More

A lovely place to dine, great atmosphere. Food was good but not great. I got the sea food linguine, love the fresh pasta, but the sauce was overly salty, however that's just my personal opinion.

Tree Bistro is a beautiful and delicious place for a romantic meal. Their garden is full of flowers and their staff warm and attentive. Each dish was delicious, prepared perfectly from fresh ingredients. We will definitely come back.

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
