This is the cutest place. I've been here a few times now, and it's just as warm and friendly when it's just my wife and me or when we go with the kids. Great food and warm, friendly service. A bit of an international feel, and some creative dishes. Definitely worth a visit!

This little resto is an oasis of calm and surprisingly good food. My friends and I enjoyed very much the fried calamari with coconut curry-flavored sauce, lobster ravioli, and salmon. Desserts were quite tasty as well. Staff were very polite and attentive. Too bad it was a bit too cool to sit in the lovely garden patio the night we... More

Ate there last week - it had been a while, but we'll be back soon I think. Quiet rear garden with pleasant hubbub, not NYC noisy. We each had seafood dishes, crabcakes and seafood risotto. Fine. And the service remains very good.

Visited Tree Bistro for wedding meal. Did not eat off menu but the variety of foods offered was universally outstanding. Canopied garden provides beautiful setting for any event. Owner and staff worked hard to make everyone feel comfortable. Eager to visit again for meal from the regular menu.

Owner there and involved. Interesting and delicious food. Missed the music but wish I could have checked it out. You will not feel like a tourist. Casual, funky and fun.

Visited for dinner. It was a snowy, cold night. We were offered warmed wine as we entered which could not have been more perfect. Great Place! Incredible food. Work of art! Very well taken care of by the owners. We had the mussels which were out of this world. The lamb and steak cooked to perfection. A great all around... More

I have over 70 reviews and this is my favorite bistro in NYC. It's hard to nail down all the reasons I have to come here every time I'm in Manhattan. But to start the environment can't be beat. From the amazing red brick walls to the beautiful garden outside, it just removes you mentally from the city. The food... More

Great food by very nice people. Certainly an unusual expereince in New York City! We felt like we were visiting friends when we were served a nice variety of food with a homelike feeling. The menue is not expansive, but sometghing for everyone with a nice choice of side dishes to pick from, and a nice selection of wine. Very... More

Don't be fooled by the "bar only" look from the door. There's a nice quiet seating area in a cozy tent (trust me on this) that is hidden behind the first room. We had the duck "cassoulet", a tree burger with truffle fries and the scallops. All very yummy, even if that cassoulet never saw or heard of the south... More

Cozy and casual, Tree is a great little bistro in The Village. "Worldy Cuisine" is best to describe what Tree is doing here. With a great wait staff, and amazing culinary creativity, Tree is everything you'd want in a casual, neighborhood bistro that you can frequent on a weekly basis. Regulars need only apply.
