I went with five friends for dinner before a show. The place was loud and crowded but in a fun way. As we were being shown to our table the owner or manager came over and introduced himself . ...his name is Emmett. He came back several times to check on us. The burgers were good and my... read more

18 April 2015 Light dinner before a show Good location close to a lot of theaters Reasonable - not NYC style - prices. Sally had a Nachos plate which could have fed a crowd of four. Huge and a good value. I had the chicken special. The Asparagus was good, the chicken breast, boneless was dry and tough. It could... More

Stopped off here for a beer and a bite to eat. Clearly our order wasn't worth bothering with because our food never arrived. Decided to leave after an hour waiting. Staff couldn't have cared less and ignored us on our way out. Poor for NYC. Avoid if you want food!

Not sure what qualifies this as an Irish bar? The food was not what I would call typically Irish (but then I am not sure what is), I had bangers and mash whihc consisted of lumpy mash and bangers that were small sausages from the cheap end of the scale. I get better sausage at my local butchers. For the... More

It's really difficult to find a comfortable and good place to eat in the middle of the theater district, but this is one. We made a reservation the day before and arrived at O'linney's about an hour and a half before the show. Our food was very good and the noise level was much lower than so many theater district... Great value for lunch! My daughter and I visited pre-theater after seeing some other NYC attractions and a lot of walking... We both ordered cheeseburgers and fries... cooked perfectly and very generous portions. Service was attentive and relatively fast. There was a lot to choose from on the menu and reasonably priced. Definitely would return.

The service was friendly and efficient. The food was average quality, but over priced. My partner had the fish and chips, which seemed to be made of fish scraps and not a whole fillet, and I had the shepherd's pie, which was OK, but needed some seasoning.

This past week we had dinner at Emmet O'Lunney's Bar and Grill on W 50th Street. The menu is very varied, and whatever we ordered, we loved. The owner, Emmett, is very personable, and tries to get to all the tables to speak with the patrons. The staff is very caring, and got us out in plenty of time for... More

Stopped for dinner on March 27, 2015. Loved the atmosphere, loved our waitress Lucy! What a delight she was. My husband and I both ordered the Shepherd's pie (it was small) It was DELISH! The New York cheesecake was also good. (Only ordered 1) The bad part was how expensive our dinner was... $70 before tip. A glass of Stella... More

Next to our Hotel - this is a lovely bar. The barman who works in the top bar (sorry didn't get his name) was brilliant. Very attentive to all the guests he was serving and really friendly. Had a drink here on a couple of occasions. Lovely atmosphere - would recommend

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
