My wife and I had lunch here on a Thursday. We were there to celebrate a wedding of my wife's cousin and her partner. (in the park prior to lunch) The location is hard to beat. The middle of central park in the middle of New York City. We had a waterside table so happy with that. The food was... More

Lunch at the boathouse is a fine value with a wonderful view. A stroll along the lake visiting Bethesda Fountain or perhaps a gondola ride on the lake is on order before or after dining. We have been there several times on delightful days.

Looks out over the pond and the ambiance is amazing. Limited menu and a little pricey but I would do it again. Staff was very friendly and professional

This is a great place to eat of an evening or for brunch on the weekends. Its a little pricey but well worth it as the food is very good and the views are spectacular

While we didn't wait the hour-90 minutes to eat in the main dining room, we did have an a la carte lunch in the room directly behind... it was the same view but for probably $75 cheaper than if we had had the time to wait it out, though I would like to have Sunday brunch next time I'm in... More

The location and view of this restaurant are the absolute selling points. As tourist we didn't know that we weren't able to take a taxi to the restaurant so we had to take one of those trikes through Central Park. Not that it bothered me, because this was also an experience, but keep itt in mind before You visit. They... More

The food is good, but it is definitely all about the view here! Located in beautiful central park and overlooks the pond. Just beautiful!

The food was delicious. We brought our own wine & were charged a $35 corkage fee, plus they added in a 15% gratuity on the meals plus the corkage fee. The tables closest to the water were open, but they offered us a table one row back. They said that since the sun was still blaring down, it would be... More

The service is sub par and the food is no better. Th location deserves more. They add a 15% service charge which they remove if you complain. It's a tourist haven.

But I expect that in the city. Even the kids had a good time. Great views, nice spot. Lunch was good. I'd like to return for a nice romantic dinner
