Good food, very loud

A fun place; the food is good (particularly the guacamole, which they make at your table). The staff is friendly. The only downside is that the place is very loud, so it isn't a romantic destination.

We tried Iguanas for dinner. The food and service were very good but it was so noisy inside that restaurant, all we wanted to do was leave. We could not even hear the live music bec it was so loud inside. I would not recommend for dinner unless you do not plan on talking.

The service was actually better than the food. There were not enough spices in the different dishes we had.

This is a REAL find in mid-town Manhattan. The ambiance is delightful, the food is really amazing both in presentation and flavor, the prices are very reasonable for NYC and the experience was a joy. After a meal which included the best Tortilla Soup we have ever had, we wandered upstairs where we joined a lively crowd for salsa dancing.... More

We only went to Iguana for cocktails, and the venue was fantastic. It had a chilled atmosphere and the restaurant looked good. The staff were professional and attentive, and overall I would recommend going to Iguana. It's a pity we missed the dance nights!

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary in August. A few years ago, we remembered going to a bar / restaurant that had a variety of margaritas but could not remember the name or location. We were walking around the theater district when we saw the sign and immediately remembered it. It was worth finding, the drinks were tasty,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
