I went to Iguana for an early dinner with my boyfriend for Valentine's Day and it was wonderful! The atmosphere was very warm and cozy and a bit dark but I love that kind of atmosphere. We were taken early for our reservation & got 10% off by showing our tickets to Cabaret. I got a house salad which included... More

My girlfriends and I wanted something delicious on our last night in NYC, and the concierge at Hotel Wellington recommended Iguana. It did not disappoint. We wanted apps and dessert and drinks. They made the guacamole at our table. It was phenomenal. We all could have eaten a second order. We also ordered a few other small plates, which were... More

I will definitely be going back here, you can’t really see much from the road, but it’s a really nice restaurant once you get inside, with a big open plan room. Extensive yummy margarita list. Everything was just really good, especially the coconut shrimp, I could eat that all day. Interesting creative menu, had real problems in choosing what to... More

Had dinner here after leaving the David Letterman show. It is very attractive inside. Another added feature was the warmth after being out in the bitter cold. The guacamole was one of the best we've ever had. We had fish tacos, which were quite tasty and came with an attractive selection of sides to put on them. Mariachis were quietly... More

Went prior to theater at studio 54 which is essentially next door. standard Mexican fare - mojitos were nice, the guacamole (prepared at table) was good, quesadilla and enchilada were average. Tres leches was not memorable, flan was pretty good. Prices are high for Mexican food, but justifiable for the location.

Tried this place over proximity to NY City Center, just a short walk away. Loved the vibe of the place on entering: warm and welcoming Mexican decor (though not overdone/kitschy.) We sat at a high top near bar where you order from bartender with table service. Staff was very friendly and appy's were good: veggie quesadillas and chicken skewers. $40... More

We walked in a party of 6 without reservations and were seated in 5 minutes. The waitstaff was very friendly, the food was delicious, the margaritas good & strong, beautiful authentic feeling decor and an upbeat vibe. We left feeling satisfied and happy! Love this place!!

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
