Me and my partner popped in here to try something different as our hotel was just around the corner and as we passed it always looked busy. When we entered the waitress who greeted us did not speak much English but gave us a smile and we were soon seated. The menu had very basic English descriptions so we pointed... More

authentic Korean fare. but expect a wait during peak times. (they seem to take reservations judging by the question asked by the girl out front, but we were told otherwise. maybe if you speak Korean?) bad service in terms of refilling our tea and replenishing our side dishes (we asked more than 5 times, before successfully getting some replenished.) had... We ordered the spicy Korean BBQ pork and the bimbimbap. The food was very good and we didn't have to wait long for a table.

Seven of us met here for a business dinner. We had arranged one of the semi private dining rooms. Thank god it was prearranged as this place was completely packed and a large line of folks waiting for a table. The service we had was quite good and very attentive. We were never left for wanting anything. The food was... More

Best Korean food I've had anywhere. Great variety of flavors, particularly the appetizer dishes, which they refilled repeatedly! Excellent service. Excellent value!

A friend and I went to the newly opened The Kunjip for lunch and despite giving a tip for our poor and hurried service, we were approached twice to pay more. An older waitress threw our cash back down onto the table and demanded more tip, then out of nowhere another waitress grabbed the cash. So we proceeded to leave... More

long wait - rude people - tasteless food - rushed out - only thing good was the green tea. Go somewhere else - there are plenty of other Korean restaurants on the same street. :(

I was here with a party of 5 on a Saturday night. We got to Kunjip at 5:30 because I know that the line gets long between 6:15-6:30 and there is around a 30 minute wait. When we arrived we were promptly seated at a clean window table and water was brought. Our waiter was nice and friendly and as... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
