I visited Levain Bakery this past Saturday...the line to get in was about a 15 minute wait. It was worth it! The cookies and the sour cream pound cake was delicious. I got the chocolate chip with walnuts and the dark chocolate with peanut butter. AWESOME!!!! Only downfall was the area to sit down to eat the goods was to... More

We tried Levain's cookies on our last trip to NYC in Sept '13, so when we knew we had a day in the city again last month, Levain was first on our list to get to and buy a batch of cookies for ourselves & relatives! We bought the 4 kinds of cookies they made & all were amazing as... More

Everyone says it's all about the chocolate chip walnut cookie and I have to disagree. They weren't bad but of the three types that I purchased their chocolate chocolate chip was THE BEST. And it is true, a line tends to form outside quickly, even when it's a cold and rainy day.

Found this place near our hotel (Hotel Excelsior). Waited in line (both times) and was worth it!! Tried the cookies the first time and chocolate chip/banana bread the second time. Fantastic! The cookies seemed to weigh a pound each. Soft on the inside and just the right texture on the outside.

On our 3rd visit to NYC we decided to try the cookies here! I had the double chocolate and partner had the walnut wheat meal. I ate half and was so full I saved the rest! I ate small bits all day! Really filling and huge. Lots to choose from. Huge queue out the door but worth trying the once!

This is seriously the best cookie i have ever taste. First it's huge, then it's heavy and it's handmade. You have to try this, you'll thank me later (or not, this can be really addictive). The Harlem shop is as good as the upper east side one.

Walked 50 blocks to get there, would walk 50 more. Cookies are out of this world. Bought a dozen to take back home to Texas, one to eat at that moment. Only regret is that I didn't get a chocolate/peanut butter. My friend did and loved it.
