Huge variety at a Good Value

Great selection of traditional Italian butter cookies, pastries at a more reasonable price than many of he bakeries - between $9-$14 a lb.

We decided to catch a movie in Battery Park when the hubby had a hankering for cannoli. So via the subway off we go to Little Italy. Beautiful Saturday night and a sea of ppeople everywhere. It was about a 10 minute walk from the subway. Set up outside the restaurant was a hostess behind a a glass case that... More

Average but very overpriced cannoli. The sfagliatelle was decent and the eclair was exceptional. Rude staff, I know it's NYC but still I felt like I was disturbing her with my order. Easy to get to.

As if we had not eaten enough at the Feast of San Gennaro, we stopped at La Bella Ferrara for MORE dessert. Instead of getting something from their food stand and walking around we decided to sit at one of their outside tables. Since the patio is so small they only have a few tables. We were lucky one was... More

And the pignoli cookies are awesome too! Really can't go wrong here but the hard part is picking just a few things to bring home when you really want to get one of everything. Don't get into this part of the city often enough but when I do, definitely stop here and get a box of pastries and cookies to... More

I like to stop by here after a day in NYC. I stock up on my favorite cannolis. However, just about anything you get here will not disappoint. Try the Lobster Tails!

We had the best lobster tails (italian dessert) in all of NYC. It's a very small bakery but they serve some of the best italian pastries I've ever tasted. Every time I'm in NYC I travel to little Italy to eat their desserts. The staff is also very friendly!!!

Whenever I am in New York, I have to make a stop in little Italy at la bella ferrera. Best almond/chocolate almond biscotti. I always get a pound and have to refrain myself from getting more.

Almond biscottis and sfogliatella were fantastic and a lovely lovely lady behind the counter at the bakery. You must visit!

So - I'm torn on this one! I had heard from New Yorkers that this was THE place to go in Little Italy. And the wide variety of cannolis were amazing! My husband loves milk with his dessert and the staff inside acted like that was weird (not even on the menu) but got me a cup and didn't even... More

Staying in Little Italy

Neighborhood Profile
Little Italy
While Little Italy is one of the city's smallest neighbourhoods, its streets are packed with visitors from around the globe, especially on summer weekends when the streets are closed to traffic. Stroll up Mulberry Street, the heart of Little Italy, for a dense mix of Italian restaurants with sidewalk tables, cafes, and old-school food shops. Don’t be surprised when the hosts beckon you to pay them a visit. Stop in for a coffee and a cannoli, or grab a streetside table to take in the scenery over a hearty Italian meal.
