This is a warm and seemingly local establishment, but from the other patrons recently encountered, it has a very nice and widespread following beyond lower Manhattan. Our duck and swordfish entrees were very good, the fish a bit overdone (dry) but well offset by the accompaniments, and the waitstaff's help with a wine choice was right on target. Will definitely... We were a company of six, and had a delectable meal at this West Village restaurant near Washington Square. I couldn’t resist, as appetizer, the “Spicy Duck Meatballs,” which I shared with my fellow diners. Everyone enjoyed the tang and savor of this unusual dish; Two of us tried the pork belly, which was cooked somewhat in the Chinese style... More

There are a lot of good restaurants in this city, but gone are the days of having an amazing dining experience. The attention to detail, and that detail being YOU is why you go here. There's really only 1 item on the menu that you need to get and it's the "Menu Tasting" The chef selects and you enjoy. The... More

I took my partner to Perilla on restaurant week so he could sample some of dishes here. I've always loved the food and service here from my last 2 visits. I thought restaurant week was a good time for him to sample some of the dishes and then perhaps if he liked it we could go back another time. We... More

This was our first trip to this restaurant, brought in by friends who love it. We were impressed from the beginning to the end. Even though from the outside it presents an unassuming entrance, once we entered the place was warm and friendly, the service was friendly and careful for details, appetizers were delicious and my hake was fresh and... Start to finish, Perilla was a delight. Service was friendly and attentive at both the bar and, then, at our table. The appetizers were a hit. The spicy duck meatballs and the crispy clams were outstanding. For our entrees we had the hanger steak and a special of the evening, lamb 2-ways (chops and braised shank). Both were very good.... I've been let down by a lot of higher priced restaurants in the city lately and Perilla was a very refreshing surprise! My seafood dish was one of the best and freshest I've had in a long time. The duck meatballs were delicious and my bf's pork chop entree was huge and delicious. Dessert wasn't all that great but hey--... More

I have dined here many times during my visits to NY and I have NEVER been disappointed. Creative and innovative seasonal menu, a nice wine list and a delightful staff. If I lived in the city I would be a more frequent guest. Everyone I've shared this spot with has been equally impressed.

Being a big fan of the show, Top hef, we were looking forward to dining at Perilla. The first Top Chef Winner had very interesting courses reminiscent of the shows high level using ingredients we normally don´t at home. I had a Sturgeon and my wife the Hanger Steak. Both were cooked perfectly. The service staff were attentive and the... More

Made reservations well ahead of time and from all appearances when we arrived, they are a must- the place as packed. Easy to locate in Greenwich, the restaurant is a nice, comfortable space with nice seating and lighting. Noise level not bad. Did not appear to be an overly trendy or hipster spot; a wide variety of clientele present. We... More
