We came here a warm day in june after walking all over manhattan. We have been reading a lot about lobster rolls before we came to New York so we figured it was time to try. The lobster was so delicious and perfect. Combined with the bread and some sparkling wine it was love at first site! If you are... More

Excellent lunch. Lobster roll and fries washed down with a very acceptable Sancerre. $100 for two a little pricey but you couldn't ask for better quality or fresher ingredients. Staff is friendly and capable. My tiniest quibble, and this is purely an aficionado matter of personal taste, is I prefer knuckle and claw only on a lobster roll and Ed's... More

Oysters were soooo good! Small and fresh! Just what we needed on a hot nyc day! Very cute and clean! The white goes perfect with the theme of the restaurant!

We chanced upon this place on tripadvisor as we were just staying at the marriott on varick street. It was about a 10 min walk to here and this place is high recommended. Obviously the name says it all, and anything lobster is good. we got oysters, lobster bisque soup, giant cocktail shrimps and a lobster ravioli. Food is very... More

This is definitely a local eatery that has grown in reputation but not size. The restaurant is a street side establishment that is maybe 12 feet wide on the inside! One aisle to walk down along the wall parallel to the bar and seating to get to 5 or 6 tables in the back if you don't want to sit... More

Ed's Lobster is hands down the best restaurant I've been to in the world. You have to try the lobster (obviously) and especially the lobster roll, both are incredible and amazingly priced. The restaurant itself is small but great, so make sure you either book or get there early! As it is as popular as it is incredible! Definitely a... More

As someone born and raised in New England, who spent Summers as a kid in Maine, I have eaten a lot of lobster during my lifetime. Without question Ed's makes the absolute BEST lobster roll I've ever had. They are generous with the lobster meat and the bun is always buttery and delicious. The fries on the side are also... More

After reading the reviews we had to try the lobster rolls and we were not disappointed. We started with a tray of oysters and then both ordered the lobster roll with fries. The rolls are stuffed full of fresh lobster on a lightly toasted bun. Absolutely fantastic. Will be back next time we are in New York.

Plenty of fresh lobster in a home made bun with your choice of salad or delicious fries. (I chose the salad cause I was on a diet). The flavor is really good. I had a glass of very decet Rosé wine. I closed the experience with a bluebery cremw brulee that was good but not amazing. Its a small place... More

If you're visiting NYC you should definitely go to Ed's Lobster. Fresh, inexpensive lobster roll with oysters and champagne. Amazing. Will definitely go back on my next trip to New York.
