Worth a visit...

Called in one lunchtime without a reservation and the place was packed but they accommodated us immediately. The service was very good and the food is also. Highly recommend the chicken and waffles dish!! Great for sharing dishes...although a little prices was worth the visit.

I was excited to dine in The Stanton Social for the longest time and finally got to go on Saturday night before seeing Misery on Broadway. Friendly front house staff, seated right away. Decor is dim, but nice and cozy. Our waiter, can't recall his name, seemed like he couldn't care less if we enjoyed ourselves. Very blah. Interesting drink... More

I love the concept of Stanton Social. Do you ever go to restaurants and wished they had smaller sizes so that you could try more dishes? This is what's so great about the Stanton. Food is also very tasty and some of the dishes very creative. I went there for brunch so got the usual eggs Benedict (pretty good), but... More

Weekday dinner. Ambience: they really do squeeze too many patron in one area. Between the music & being so close to the other tables, I could barely hear the waitress & had to almost yell to my friend across the table. If you have a party size of 2+ you might be able to luck out and get a booth.... More

Try to get reservations before coming, the place gets full. There are a lot of choices on the menu but the food is served in small almost bite-sized (tapas) portions. Great if you want to try different things. Ideal for sharing. We went for brunch and enjoyed the chicken and waffles, eggs benedict, and some french onion soup dumplings. Can't... More

I'm actually surprised at all the good reviews. I thought the food was amateurish and not very good at all. Felt like it was cheap buffet food served quickly. Had the fish tacos. Fishy. Pierogi we were confusing. The dish they said was most popular, the French onion soup dumplings were a salty mess. Ribs came easily off the bone... More

Chef Chris Santos of "Chopped" fame has a very special place in Stanton Social, tucked in the lower east side. On our call list anytime we are in NYC, this small but cozy restaurant serves off-the-chart unique dishes meant to share for a taste bud extravaganza.

This was our first stop in NYC for a girls' weekend and we were impressed! We didn't have reservations but were accommodated within a few minutes of arriving. My favorites were the Chilaquiles and the chicken and waffles. Will definitely stop back by on my next trip to NYC!

Came here with two of my cousins and we enjoyed everything! We ordered almost the whole menu from the fresh oysters to the fish tacos, lamb sliders, the arepas, mac and cheese and of course two orders of the unreal french onion soup dumplings. I forgot the name but we had one more dish. I mean we had a food... More

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
