Perfect for Those Who Can't Decide What to Order

We wandered into this lovely modern restaurant just by chance, looking for a bite to eat after a late arrival in NYC. After a short wait we lucked out and got a round, semi-boothed table in a corner which enabled us to enjoy watching many of the other diners. The concept here is perfect for... read more

Beautifully decorated restaurant, we sat on bottom floor but upper floors were equally lovely. Waiter suggested five tapa sized dishes for two people. We chose 4 and should have only ordered three- they were large. We had the ribs, Mac and cheese, ravioli and chicken and waffles. All delicious-prices are entree sized as well- $16-19 each.

Chris Santos' tapas venture is sure to win you over - the selection is widde and varied - there's something for just about everyone. While the "small plate" concept might not appeal to the hearty eater, sampling a few of the many offerings will sate most - especially if you're pairing your selections with some of the signature cocktails from... I had dinner at Stanton Social last night for my daughter's birthday. I made a reservation far in advance for a table of 5 for my daughter and her friends and a table of 2 for my husband and I. We were all so excited. Well…….the excitement came to a screeching halt when we entered the restaurant and approached the... More

Cant really fault the place but I think for some reason I was expecting more. Food was great but service could have been better not really a complaint though.

This was my third visit. The place has a vibrant atmosphere yet very familiar. everything is served family style with small dishes to share. i would say that everything on the menu is absolutely fantastic but if i had to single out some favorites i would go for the goat cheese pirogue and the soup dumpling. If anyone from Stanton... More

We went for brunch. The menu and food were fantastic - REALLY fantastic! We had lobster benedict (WOW!), oreo pancakes (crazy delicious and fun), warm doughnuts (yummy) & bacon (thick cut, nice and crispy). My only complaints would be: 1. The jazz music, while very good, was a bit loud for the room. It was hard to chat over it.... More

Cool place with good food and great music. The restaurant could have more lights above the tables (nice armatures provide the sole light). It was a bit difficult to read the menu in the dim but cozy room. I would rate them higher if the glasses were cleaner... I will come back though.

For over a year my Wife was anxious to try Stanton Social. We had dinner there on 4/7/15. The drinks were very good. The staff was wonderful. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable. The food, though, was average--good, but nothing special. With all of our untried options in NYC, it is unlikely that we will return. They probably cannot improve... More

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
