Delicious, fun, brunch

We went for brunch. The menu and food were fantastic - REALLY fantastic! We had lobster benedict (WOW!), oreo pancakes (crazy delicious and fun), warm doughnuts (yummy) & bacon (thick cut, nice and crispy). My only complaints would be: 1. The jazz music, while very good, was a bit loud for the... read more

I had dinner at Stanton Social last night for my daughter's birthday. I made a reservation far in advance for a table of 5 for my daughter and her friends and a table of 2 for my husband and I. We were all so excited. Well…….the excitement came to a screeching halt when we entered the restaurant and approached the... More

Cant really fault the place but I think for some reason I was expecting more. Food was great but service could have been better not really a complaint though.

This was my third visit. The place has a vibrant atmosphere yet very familiar. everything is served family style with small dishes to share. i would say that everything on the menu is absolutely fantastic but if i had to single out some favorites i would go for the goat cheese pirogue and the soup dumpling. If anyone from Stanton... More

Cool place with good food and great music. The restaurant could have more lights above the tables (nice armatures provide the sole light). It was a bit difficult to read the menu in the dim but cozy room. I would rate them higher if the glasses were cleaner... I will come back though.

For over a year my Wife was anxious to try Stanton Social. We had dinner there on 4/7/15. The drinks were very good. The staff was wonderful. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable. The food, though, was average--good, but nothing special. With all of our untried options in NYC, it is unlikely that we will return. They probably cannot improve... More

More mellow "big sister" to Beauty and Essex, the incredible small plates created by Chef Chris Santos are worthy of any cooking competition. Predominantly 20s and 30s crowd does not intimidate me (50s) at all. Fantastic food.

Fan of Chris Santos so this was a must try for my husband and I. While we waited our bartender was so rude and very unhelpful. The hostess was equally as rude and unhelpful. We were on vacation however and didn't let this ruin our mood. As soon as we were seated it was so dark we had to use... More

Until recently, I wasn’t even aware that you could legally enter Stanton Social for brunch if you weren’t still drunk from the night before. SS used to be (from what I boozily remember) a great “drunch” (drunken brunch) spot where, false eyelashes half on, bra in my purse, I’d drink mimosas and kick off a Sunday funday. But once I... Right off the Bowery. Great atmosphere. We arrived shortly after midnight and sat at the upstairs bar for a few hours. We didn't order food, but the cocktails are delicious and the music is great! From what I could see, the crowd were mostly New Yorkers. Definitely would revisit on my trip.

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
