I just returned from Sfoglia and I think I need an IV to rehydrate. One of the key factors of a good restaurant is ambiance and the sauna like conditions ruined this for me. Although I understand air conditioners can have issues, it's how you deal with the problem that matters. I heard three different tables get three different answers... More

I have been to Sfoglia 5 or 6 times over the last couple of years. They never disappoint. This is clearly not your typical red sauce Italian restaurant. Excellent and very inventive. Try one of their homemade pastas. The wait staff is always attentive but not overly so. An atypical and interesting wine list. Reservations are a must, I typically... More

A friend took me to one of her favorite restaurants on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and I have to say it was one of the best surprises! I arrived a little early and sat at the bar... very attractive, good service and they make a great martini. We were then seated in the front dining room and it... More

Great place on the UES. I really loved the cheese plate and the bread is the best in town. Great helpful service and lovely ambiance. This is one restaurant I don't mind going back to again and again.

Great restaurant with very good food. Selection is limited but every entrée for our table of 4 was served to perfection

Very friendly staff, great atmosphere (like a Tuscon eatery.) The food is very high quality. We had the chicken, the antipasti and special pasta.

Sfoglia brings together the best of traditional Italian food with inventive dishes plated so attractively you hesitate before taking the first bite. Then it's a heavenly treat, paired with excellent wine options. The decor and ambience are unique and elegant while being unstuffy. The menu is continually revised to reflect the best of what the season has to offer, making... More

Having really enjoyed Sfoglia in the past, I was really disappointed by the meal we had there this past weekend. Three strikes: 1) sour olive oil; 2) bitter broccoli rabe; 3) pickled baby carrots. Translation: YUCK!!! 1) Sfoglia has delicious house-made bread, which is a great opener for its many wonderful dishes -- so to provide olive oil to accompany... More

This is a small, popular restaurant that you probably need reservations. They will serve a full meal at the bar and the bartender is excellent. If you are going to one of the wonderful programs at the Y this is the perfect place to eat. My pasta was excellent and reasonable.

Make reservations ahead if time otherwise you get a. 530 or 10. Very special date night or birthday meal type place. Dark and rustic ambience. Excellent rich Tuscan influenced food.
