We didn't have a reservation, but we were still taken very good care of! Very nice and cozy surroundings, excellent service and delicious food! A little bit pricy, But Worth it!

Met a friend at his office nearby and came here for lunch. The restaurant is tiny but we were seated almost immediately. Very quaint, downstairs from where the exterior shots from "Friends" were shot back in the day. Would go back for sure!

What is it about this place? The food is great, the service is friendly but not in your face. It's tiny and can be noisy but it's JUST FAB. A trip to New York is not complete for me without at least one meal here. For supper we shared a salad with nuts and cheese which was perfectly dressed and... More

We walked in on the off chance at the start of a busy evening and were lucky to get the last table for two. A small, intimate restaurant, we didn't feel cramped but we were lucky to be by a window away from the curtained door and the main flow of people. The staff were lovely and attentive. We both... My dining partner and I went here for dinner last Friday and while the restaurant was small, it never felt cramped (we were in a booth though). The ambience was relaxed, which I enjoyed. I ordered the sliders, the halibut, and the beignets and each course was delicious and flavorful. I would definitely return for another meal.

I had high hopes for this brunch on our trip to NYC. We had reservations. We ordered the poached eggs and the special (french toast). My husband enjoyed the eggs, I thought they were Village Inn quality, but the french toast was embarrassing. Two soggy pieces of bread on a small plate with little pieces of chopped strawberries in a... More

Decided to pre-book a table at The Little Owl as part of our dining experience whilst staying 4 nights in NYC. We were booked for the first evening sitting at 5.00pm so the restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived, however it soon filled up within half hour or so. Very friendly welcome on arrival and the waitress who looked... More

We had a wonderful meal. Service was excellent and the food was of a very high standard. For the small number of people working, we were never without a topped up glass or were left for long with dirty plates. The tables are a little squashed up and small - although this does add charm to the restaurant. For us... More

Lovely place - good service (despite being very busy) and food is superb. A must to check out if in the neighbourhood! Will have to revisit!

As a big fan of the show 'Friends' - eating at The Little Owl has always been on my bucket list. However, the food and service were incredibly disappointing. After trying their 'well-known' (according to our waitress) risotto appetizer - I actively decided against ordering any other items. In addition to the poor quality of food - the service was... Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
