Great little gem

Great little restaurant. It's small and cozy. I went by myself, which was sad because the place is perfect for couples, especially at night for a romantic dinner. But I was there at lunch time and it was pretty good too. Service is spot on and I enjoyed the food. I'll definitely be back!

I have travelled to NYC quite often over the past few years. One thing I now have on my list for every time I go is a trip to The Little Owl. I love how quaint and cozy the restaurant is (offering only a handful of tables and bar seating). The menu is superb, and I indulged in the Bacon... More

Made an online reservation a good few weeks beforehand. Received a text the day before our booking, which I replied confirming. Arrived on time and told a member of staff of our reservation. Was asked to wait outside the front of the restaurant. As it is a very small restaurant we had no objection, although we could see there were... More

Cute restaurant, one of the most amazing cappuccinos I've ever had!! I had the whole wheat pancakes and a side of brussel sprouts (just had to because they're my fave veggie!). Soooo delicious!! I can't remember what my hubby had, but I recall it being equally delicious. This is a must-do every NYC visit.

We ate here recently and couldn't fault the service or the food. Meal was absolutely delicious, reasonable portion sizes and extensive wine list.

We arrived without a reservation> (You need one since the place is small) but there were 3 empty bar stools at the bar. Amazing service, Delicious Food and good wine suggestion! It is a great place to eat and enjoy the area before or after dining!! Highly recommend this restaurant...

Little Owl used to be one of our favorites restaurants in New York. On our last visit we were a bit disappointed. Maybe because they added more tables. Maybe not, but something changed for the worse in the acoustics. My husband and I could hardly hear each other, and it was awful. Our dinner started with Grilled scallops with spinach... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
