Great Brunch in the Village

Went here for brunch one saturday during the cold snap. It'd been a long time since I was in the area so wasn't sure where was good but stumbled across this place and had a really excellent meal. Great service and a nicely laid out room, if a bit tight. Would love to try here for lunch or dinner... read more

Some friends recomended us this small place so we got lucky and inmediately found a lunch reservation. The place is not that pretty but it is so cozy and so delicious that you forget the rest. Service was excellent, our food (hamburguer and pork sandwich) was delicious and the price was extremely correct for a nice place in NY. I... More

Loved this little gem...we had the grilled whole fish with lobster risotto that was out of this world in flavor. Also, you must try the seared green beans and the meatball sliders. Hard reservation to get due to its small size but worth the wait.

Ok...so it was 3 o'clock on a Sunday in January....Our 5 o'clock reservation for 5 diners becomes a half hearted request for 7 diners, and this undersized restaurant says "no problem". What a most pleasant and unexpected turn of events. In the next two hours the seven of us enjoyed one of the most well crafted meals most of us... More

Tiny restaurant great ambiance the food was delicious. I usually never order chicken because i think its so plain, but the chicken was probably the best piece of chicken i have ever had. Crispy and moist .... The staff was also great and very accommodating

Wow. I'm obsessed with owls so any restaurant named after one can't go bad in my book. The restaurant is small but I think it adds to its charm, there is even a little elevated nook in the corner where you can sit and wait for your table. The food, oh my goodness the food. Everything tasted fresh and full... More

Other than the restaurant being small, we have no complaints at all... And small in NYC is basically expected (do you realize the rent costs?!). That being said, the food and service more than made up for the small size. Very attentive staff. Stood up to grab something from my coat and in the 3 seconds it took to get... More

My husband had this restaurant booked for over 6 months and it did not disappoint. Great wee place and staff were very welcoming and pleasant. Food lovely and not too big portions.

Recently visited Little Owl on a trip to NYC. We had booked in advance and gave plenty of notice that I'm a vegetarian, which I was told would be written on our reservation. My husband really enjoyed his meal. However, I was disappointed to find that there were no vegetarian entrees available on the menu. I had been assured prior... More

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
