this place was a hoot on our trip, great location, great food, great staff really cannot complain. So glad we booked as there were tons of people lining up to get in as we were leaving, obviously a very popular attraction

Glad I booked for this (Saturday brunch) as by the time I left there was a queue of people waiting for tables. The menu was an eclectic mix of brunch dishes, some you'd expect (eggs) and others you wouldn't. I ordered the frittata which were four small canapé size morsels which I dont think qualifies as a main course. It... More

A buddy and I were meeting for dinner in NYC on 7/16/15 and had been looking all day at different reviews. After deciding we wanted to try something in the Village, Little Owl kept standing out. We got there around 7:15 and were offered a seat at the bar. Keep in mind this entire restaurant is very small. We asked... More

Awesome little restaurant but you need to book, use the website and it is not a problem, it is a busy little restaurant. The food was great and the staff were excellent. Well recommended if you are in the area.

Small restaurant- you can park on the street. Came here for breakfast with the family. Nothing memorable about the atmosphere save the impressive way they fit a tiny (and I mean tiny) bathroom behind the cash register. Reminds me of most of my hometown's corner restaurants in our city. Breakfast was good. It was breakfast. Not sure I'd write home... More

This is a tiny spot located in the village that is simply wonderful. This was our second visit (the first was dinner a couple years ago with our daughters who still remember it fondly). As frequent visitors to NYC, we try to mix up new places with visits to old favorites and the Little Owl's turn came up for a... More

Great little eatery located in a charismatic area of New York. The cheese and bacon burger was fantastic. Enjoyed with a lovely California Cab Sav. Not cheap but worth it!

Great little restaurant. It's small and cozy. I went by myself, which was sad because the place is perfect for couples, especially at night for a romantic dinner. But I was there at lunch time and it was pretty good too. Service is spot on and I enjoyed the food. I'll definitely be back!

I have travelled to NYC quite often over the past few years. One thing I now have on my list for every time I go is a trip to The Little Owl. I love how quaint and cozy the restaurant is (offering only a handful of tables and bar seating). The menu is superb, and I indulged in the Bacon... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
