A fun lunch

We went to Little Owl for lunch after visiting the 911 museum. It is a small place with tables very close together. We had heard about the meatball sliders which were very good. I had a pork bun that was nicely seasoned. My partner had the linguine and clams which he found a little bland. We... read more

Just great food, service and atmosphere with a good wine list before a casual walk around Greenwich. Also location of 'Friends' apartment block.

The service was friendly and warm, we arrived for lunch and were greeted at the door and our bags and coats were swiftly put in the storage area by the window. The place is small so there's not really any room for them at tables. The menu is brief but with a good selection of options. We were a party... More

A great find and a great little place. Amazing atmosphere and amazing food. We had the pork chop which was easily the best I've ever had; perfectly seasoned and with a superbly dressed white bean salad, it couldn't be improved. A delicious chocolate soufflé cake with espresso icecream was equally as good. I may return to NYC exclusively for that... More

The team here really love their customers - it shows in the warmth of their service. The food is great and well-priced for this area. The only challenge is getting a booking!

We went to this very trendy and much loved West Village restaurant on a Friday night recently whilst enjoying a week in New York. The atmosphere is great and whilst not fine dining i.e. Michelin star type cooking - the food is excellent. I would probably call the style refined country fare. I had the linguini with clams to start... More

This is my second time at the Little Owl, and it was just as good this time as it was the first. You need reservations because it's a very small restaurant, but the service and food are amazing. The meatball gravy sliders are one of their most popular dishes. I had the clams with linguine. It had a little spice... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
