I am from CA where we have great Mexican food. Toloache was just average. But the veggie Paella could only be described as a 'concoction.' Small, oily, not cooked like paella at all. What a mess. No Thanks!

We went for dinner last night . The restaurant is really busy and cramped. Food is good and they have a vegetarian menu. Service is friendly and nice. Great Mexican but a bit cramped place to sit. Make sure you book.

We just went for margaritas and the famous 3 guacamoles. It was crowded and we didn't have reservations, but went early (5:30) and did get bar seats. Our waitress recommended the Brussels sprouts side which was "to die for". We also had the brisket tacos which were great. Busy, but fun time.

Before going I read some of the reviews and against my better judgement still went...I should always listen to my instincts. Service was extremely good, friendly and fast. Seating is tight (think Paris cafés ) and very loud. My favourite cuisine is Mexican so I've had fine dining Mexican and home cooking Mexican and although it was tasty, it was... More

My son and I ate here before watching Wicked at the Gershwin theater. We had reservations and were seated promptly. The hostess made sure to find out the time for our show so they could make sure we received our meal with plenty of time to enjoy it. The food was very good, plenty of variety. Would visit again.

Having lived in the Southwest, my husband and I have been unimpressed by most of the Mexican food we have had on the east coast, but when we looked at the Toloache menu, we made reservations. First of all, the service was very good. The hostess inquired if we were going to the theater (we were) and they paced the... More

First time visit to the 50th street location. A little cramped, a little noisy, but nice decor and excellent service. Nice to find a mexican restaurant with a decent wine list. It's pricey because the portions are small, so order lots or you'll leave hungry The plantains are superb

We went here on a Sunday at 6 PM after a matinee show. Made a reservation, which was a good move considering that once we arrived the place was stuffed to the gills and I heard the hostess say to another party that the wait was about an hour. We just walked right in and were seated. Once at our... More

This review is for the Soho Greenvich Village location. This place came up on the restaurant week list so we decided to try it out. Really enjoyed the menu, we started out with ceviche and I also ordered 3 guac sampler. Both dishes were excellent, that followed by order by fish and order of steak, I love both. We ordered... More
