This was a very good meal, but it is not the best east coast version of west coast mexican that there is (and that i was expecting given the rave reviews). The food portions were on the small side, albeit the food was quite tasty. It was not what I would consider "authentic". Perhaps the east coast is just too... More

Just around the corner from our hotel was our best find. Food was unbelievably good. We shared a few dishes and enjoyed them all. Guacamole with pomegranate and tacos with short ribs and above all a casadilla with truffles. Wow, what a night. We will be back !

Everything about this restaurant seemed brand new, sparkling clean wherever you looked. Server was friendly and adapted to my pace, I had time to kill before matinee. I've eaten fish tacos from San Diego to Bar Harbor, these are by far the standout winner. Slightly spicy jicama slaw atop the fish, yum. Usually I bypass the refried beans and rice... More

Nice atmosphere, great staff, but food for the price was just ok. Guacamole was disappointing, especially compared to reviews, but as it is prepared fresh, I'm sure some batches are probably better than others. Tacos are good! They are small, though...I ate about two, but if you are a big eater like my guy, you might be disappointed. He ate... More

Lunch was great! Attentive staff with prompt service. The guacamole sampler, salsa, and chips could have been the entire meal. Delicious! Fried grasshoppers were interesting (approved by Bear Grylls); but, chicken tacos were awesome. Great desserts as well.

We had some nachos and guacamole for starter, the guacamole was some of the best I have ever tasted - delicious! I was unsure about what to order for main dish, so the waiter recommended a chicken stew of some kind. This was a bit disappointing for me, it tasted just average with no perticular good flavour. Maybe I was... More

The short rib and marrow taco was insanely good: cut that richness with the acidity of margarita made with fresh clementine juice and the combination was fantastic. We had the trio of guacamole. Our favorite was the spicy version but we really loved the addition of small pieces of pineapple in the fruit version. It doesn't sound like it would... More

Visiting New York with my husband and 3 children. 5 minutes walk max from our apartment in Times Square we found this gem. Nice service, smart surroundings, and absolutely great food. Mexican style paella was gorgeous, kids cleaned their plates from chicken tacos and queasidillas. Strong but tasty cocktails went down well, and tasty salsa to go with tacos. With... More

This is Mexican food like you have never experienced. Upscale and wonderful. Our party of six received attentive, friendly service. The appetizers were excellent. The entrees were also. Worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood and looking for something a bit different.

We went to Toloache before we went next door to see Wicked. It had a good energy. It was pretty crowded but with a reservation we were seated right away and they asked if we were going to a show so they could be sure we were finished in time. The queso fundido con chorizo and the suadero were both... More
