What a lovely little spot - informal, charming and friendly. The food and service were excellent. A notch above the usual Mexican restaurant.

We happened upon this place by accident and because it looked charming and wasn't crowded we took a chance. The lobster tacos and shrimp quesadillas were fantastic and they know how to make a great Margarita o the rocks.

Toloache is a main stay in our repertoire of favorite restaurants and always will be! We were very sad to see that the goat cheese crepes were no longer on the menu. We are hoping that if enough people feel the same way they will bring them back or at least have them as a special

Different than you would expect from a typical Mexican restaurant, but food was tasty and service was good. I would try again.

MUST have reservations for this midtown Mexican cucina. We did not, but were lucky enough to arrive early ( before 6:00 pm) and grab a seat at the crowded bar. Wonder if their other locations are as popular??? The food and service are very good, and judging from the crowds out the door, this is a popular restaurant in the... More

This restaurant has great food. I came with a party of 6 and we were able to get a table by calling ahead about 30 min before. Set in an older brick building, it has a seating area and bar downstairs and another seating area up a steep flight of steps. Both areas are crowded with tables due to the... More

We went to Toloache 50 for a late night meal post Theatre. Withing walking distance of the theatres. Really cool atmosphere. Drinks were awesome and the food is very innovative and delicious. We just did appetizers since we were there so late, but would definitely go back for a full dinner. Definitely try the guacamole with fruit. Amazing! We had... More

The location is great if you are seeing a Broadway show. They serve some interesting combinations including the grasshopper tacos (with real roasted grasshoppers), but the portions are not large. For lunch, they served us two small tacos with some rice and beans. The prices were not expensive for New York City, but you do not get much food for... More

It doesn't matter whether you sit at a table or better yet, grab a stool at the bar. The food is exceptional and the drinks are magnificent. Great tequila selection and the bar staff mixes them perfectly with fresh herbs and juices. This is the perfect stop if you are visiting Times Square.

The restaurant did a great job of squeezing my party of 8 into a 1.5 hour time slot, so that was greatly appreciated. The atmosphere was lively and it was EXTREMELY noisy. Our waitresses were very nice and attentitive. We ordered chips and guacamole, 3 bottles of water ($8 each!!) 4 platters of appetizer-sized tacos (they are as big as... More
