There is certainly a plentitude of Mexican cuisine in New York, but when it comes down to true, gourmet Mexican there are only a few restaurants that measure up. Toloache is without a doubt on that list. The restaurant is small and intimate with high ceilings, two floors, and an open ceviche bar. From my experience, it's almost always busy,... More

Visited this restaurant twice and loved the food both times. The short rib tacos were my favourite. Tastiest little morsels ever. The taste plate for dessert is to die for. Loved the variety and everything tasted great. Very busy so make a booking if possible.

We booked this restaurant via Trip advisor prior to visiting NYC for the first time. It was busy, noisy, had a great atmosphere and had the best food and service of our five day trip. It was so good we went back two nights later and the experience was again fantastic and it was the only time we ate lunch... More

Had a blast here...eating and drinking, of course! Sangria was wonderful! Then my husband and I shared an order of the tacos and quesadillas with 2 sides. Plenty of food! Brussels sprouts are not to be missed! My only problem would be that it is jam packed and a little touristy- but this is NYC of course and it is... More

Excellent all the way around - the food, the drinks, the service and the vibrant scene. My wife and I had the spicy guacamole followed by the braised short rib for me and the pork carnitas for my wife. We had their tequila flight for our appetizer! As for the "not worthy at all" review, everything in NYC is expensive,... More

We had an amazing meal at Toloache. We we're blown away by the modern take on Mexican cuisine. The meal was fresh and light and the attention to detail with presentation was impressive. The spicy guacamole was a taste sensation followed closely by the ceviche and lobster taco. This is not traditional Mexican, it has a delightful modern spin and... More

We had a delicious dinner here. It was Restaurant week, so we did the 3 course dinner. I had a fantastic salad, great chicken and yummmmmmy chocolate cake which was like a lava cake with a delicious filing inside. Nice atmosphere and great food!
