Went to Toloache before going to see a show on a Saturday night in November. We had 6 of us for reservations at 630--we got there a little late and the place was absolutely packed--there was hardly anywhere to stand inside (no real bar area for people waiting on a table). We had to wait about 20 min before we... More

Came here with my mom for a late dinner after a show. Decor and overall atmosphere were great. Menu was fairly extensive offering a variety of options. Some of our food was great. Other items, not so much. Worst was the lobster that we ordered - was tough, hard to chew, and lacked any sort of freshness. Service was a... More

Conveniently located on 50th (blue and red trains are both nearby), this is gem you don't want to miss. I visit every time I am in the city. The Blackberry Pirata cocktail is quite simply amazing. Not too sweet and just the right amount of zing. The queso fundido is also quite good as is the guacamole and tacos (prefer... More

We head to New York as much for the food experience as for anything else. We wanted to try this well reviewed Mexican and booked a table. On arriving it as immediately evident how popular this place is. The entry to the restaurant was full of people queueing for a table. The place is small and the tables are packed... More

I recently are at Toloache after a recommendation by my sister. Although I did not have the cricket tacos, I did go with tacos. The flavor was amazing and drinks were even better. One of Top Chefs elite was actually at the bar having dinner below us. I will definitely go back.

Authentic Mexican restaurant in the heart of NYC. Excellent place for a business meal or to take the family and enjoy very good Mexican food (trust me, I am from Mexico). Be brave and try the grasshopper tacos with a good tequila Don Julio.. :)

It is a known fact that good Mexican and Tex-Mex is hard to find in NYC. After one of my favorite place closed I had tough time finding a good place until I stumbled upon Toloache. Very authentic cuisine and lot of good variety on the menu. The service is fantastic and very friendly. We did not realize we were... More

Don't go anywhere else for dinner before a broadway show. The best Mexican food, warm atmosphere, great service. We started with the fruit guacamole- pomegranate, mango, apple, habanero, and basil. SO GOOD! Our main course was Enchiladas Borrachas, fresh and large enough for two of us to split. We ended the dinner with the Mexican Sufganiyot, donuts filled with dulce... More

We wanted somewhere close by to the Radio City Music Hall as we were going to see the Christmas Spectacular. I did a bit of research prior to our trip and Toloache looked as though it ticked all of the boxes. We weren't disappointed....everything about this Mexican restaurant was superb. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and each of the... More

First of all it is strongly you make a reservation otherwise you may have to wait. The food is awesome and the service was the best we have had. They start you off with their three types of their guacamole and chipotle dip with chips. I will tell you now do not expect a highly spicy fare here even though... More
