One of the best for many reasons

We had heard good things from afar about this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed. First, the staff are phenomenal. They really watch every table and from seating to service, people are watching out for your best interests and making sure you are taken care of. The place has a GREAT energy, and even when we left... More

A great find. Delicious Mexican food, lively, busy atmosphere, with excellent SanGria. The service is good and staff friendly. We will return for a leisurely dinner!

Toloache was only steps from our hotel in NYC, so we decided to try it after looking at the reviews. The restaurant was very busy, crowded and noisy. They sat us in the upper level which was not particularly comfortable and equally noisy. All the people in our party agreed that the food was good but not outstanding, and definitely... More

Recommended by hotel concierge. Kale, quinoa and lobster salad was a big hit, as were the brisket tacos. Guacamole was good, but pricey, comparatively. Reasonable drink prices. Good value for NYC

We were a large party and were seated upstairs - which started fine, but as it got later - the room became very crowded and that was a bit uncomfortable. The tables were too close together. Also - it was really noisy, and you had to be loud to carry on a conversation. On the positive side - the margaritas... More

We went her pre-theater, so 5:15. We were seated quickly, but then service deteriorated as it filled up. Tables extremely close together and impossible to have a conversation. Wait service was very slow. We saw others had chips and salsa and we didn't. When we asked, they said you had to order them--ya shudda told us!!. We had the suadero... More

The food was awesome but the tacos and enchiladas were a little small. The guacamole was a great starter I recommend the spicy mojo version of it.

We went here for dinner before a show. The food was fresh and delicious. Guacamole was great and we enjoyed the enchilada our favorite dish was the Brussels sprouts, they were so good… I would have given it 5 stars but it was $99 for 2 of us.

we were not disappointed!! arrived on sat at 6pm without reservation and were seated in about 35 minutes. it WAS crowded, but that's expected on sat night. The garlic shrimp was fantastic; tomato soup was the best - margaritas are great. it was one of best meals we had in our 5-day visit.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
