This was an excellent restaurant. Great food and an awesome mango margarita. I would highly recommend making reservations. The oven brick quesadilla is a great choice.
This restaurant serves authentic Mexican cuisine with its own twist. The single portions of guacamole must contain 1-2 whole avocados and the tortillas are the best I have ever had. Mains are not your usual tacos and quesadillas but that is only a positive- highly recommended.
This restaurant serves contemporary food with a Mexican flavor. You will not find the usual Mexican entrées on their menu, but the food was very good. The ceviche's were very small portions so go for the tasting of five. Nicely presented and tasty. The grilled shrimps were a bit tough, but the pork chops were very good. A bottle of... More
Poped in for a late lunch and was very impressed. We ordered the Mango Frozen Margarita with real lttle chuncks of mango. YUM. We enjoyed the Chicken quesadilla cooked in the Wood Burning Brick open oven. The atmosphere was very hip and trendy, not quite your typical mexican restaurant. We will eat here again when we return to New York!
Worth a visit if you love Mexican food. Everything worth it and reminding you what good food tastes like. Do try the spicy guacamole and the beef tacos. Also the margaritas are excellent though quite strong, so go slowly with them depending on next morning meeting!
This was our favorite meal on our New York weekend. Toloache is an upscale Mexican restaurant - so a bit pricier than typical. However, it is completely worth it!! The chips and guacamole were terrific and the homemade "salsa" unique and amazing. We throughly enjoyed all of our meals - enchiladas, quesadilla and the on-special seafood stuffed pepper. The atmosphere... More
Was here 2 yrs ago and loved it - This place keeps getting better! Was here for 'National Spicy Guacomole Day'; every table full. The service-Excellent, top to bottom. We had a variety of items starting with the three sampler guacamole, all made fresh of course -- classic, spicy and fruity. My favorite was the spicy but others loved the... More
My husband and I had a pre-theatre dinner at Toloache in October. They asked what time our show started to make sure we had plenty of time to finish our meal. The food was amazing, so very very tasty. Our waiter was perfect - helpful, friendly and charming. The margaritas were the best I'd ever tasted (definitely ask your waiter... More
We got there after booking the table; staff was very friendly and service was fast. We had enchiladas, guacamole, pollo toloache, pastel de chocolate and tres leche; everything was good and tasty. The atmosphere was OK, not noisy at all. Price acceptable for the position of the restaurant, food and location. POSITIVE ASPECTS: good and tasty food NEGATIVE ASPECTS: none
