Great guacamole and margaritas

This place was very clean and cute at first glance so we were excited to try it. I had the tropical margarita (so delicious - made with tequila and Solbeso (a liquor distilled from the cacao fruit). It wasn't too sweet, just had the perfect balance. My sister had a frozen mango margarita which... read more

We had made a reservation for 6.30 and ended up having 2 extra people which the restaurant very kindly accommodated. We got a very nice table upstairs. The restaurant was buzzing at the time on account of the pre 8 pm theatre show diners, so it was packed to the brim. Drinks are super expensive in NYC (of course this... More

Wanted a Mexican meal while staying in NYC, after checking ratings booked this one. I wish I'd checked the menu first as I personally don't like pretentious food - fried grasshoppers and chicken with mole sauce (apparently chocolate like sauce with a main dish?!) is just not for me. Server was obviously getting impatient with our questions so, feeling under... More

this place is an absolute RIP OFF. very small portions for a main and over priced which I wont mind if the food tasted any good, however mine tasted like dog food. the waiter was rude, at the start of our visit he came over and asked if we would like any drinks, my husband said he would like a... The great experience with this restaurant began before I even arrived. I had contacted many other restaurants in the area prior to my trip as my girlfriend has Latex allergies among other allergies. Several other restaurants were less than enthused by my questions about latex and other allergies. This was not the case here. Quickly after phoning I was put... More

Stopped by on the recommendation of the hotel staff, and was surprised at the range and variety of food. The selection of margaritas was quite something, too, although of the two I tried I preferred the Tropical, which is a nice blend of fruit juices, over the frozen Mango margarita which was so sour I didn't finish it. I went... More

We literally stumbled into this place looking for drinks and a quick nosh before our last Broadway show. Toloache was perfect. We enjoyed a guacamole appetizer and two fabulous margueritas. Wait staff was friendly, quick and efficient and when the check came, we didn't feel like we'd been gouged. We will definitely be back to enjoy their dinner- or lunchtime... More

We visited on a Sunday evening, we made a reservation on Open Table and were seated as soon as we arrived, small place but the decor is very warm and inviting. We had the regular guacamole, it was very tasty, but I especially enjoyed their salsa which is pureed, not chunky, but very flavorful and tasty. I had the black... More

We didn't book and we're lucky to get seats at this very popular Mexican restaurant. The staff are very polite and attentive. The food was delicious. There is also a separate vegetarian menu with plenty of starters and a choice of two main courses. It was a little expensive, but very good. We will definitely go back next time that... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
