I was here on a Monday night. It was relatively busy and extremely noisy. The background music was subdued but the patrons were not. I wish they had carpeting or some noise dampening wall tapistry to curb the levels. Things here are so much you need to share. For 4 people, we were well fed on... read more

The restaurant is clean and attractive, and the food is delicious! My husband and I split the Matador Combo. The chicken was amazing, and the beans, rice, plantains, and salad were yummy. I didn't care for the hot dogs and fries, but many would. I just much preferred everything else. They served enough food for 3-4 people to share! Additionally,... More

We enjoy Peruvian food, but not when it's accompanied by almost horrific noise - a steady, pounding, ear-splitting sound,,with no,baffling, which made conversation virtually impossible. The food, moreover, was heavy on the fried choices, no vegetarian items on the menu. And the service, while quick, was perfunctory. The place is a big chain in NYC, which may account for this... This a great Peruvian restaurant with more than one location in Manhattan. The decor is very nice and it is a large dining room with table side by side as if you would visit your family and have a meal with them. The food is excellent and the staff is simply put some of the best I dealt with in... More

I've ordered from Pio Pio a few times, and their delivery service is excellent. They always exceed their time objectives and the food is always packaged well. In-house dining, while challenging to get very speedy service when they are busy, they never fail to deliver great food. Their ceviche is fabulous, and I absolutely love the shrimp and avocado appetizer.... More

The one thing that I love about the peruvian cuisine is the ceviche! This location of new york Pio Pio restaurants is not as big and crowded as the one in Midtown Manhattan, which makes it more romantic for the people, making it a better location for couples instead of big groups such as birthday parties. To start with in... More

Going into the restaurant my party had a large reservation. The waiters were efficient and excellent with customer service even though we had a lot of people. The food came out in a timely manner. AUTHENTIC food. Fresh. I got the loco salmbota (filet mignon strips in soy sauce with white rice, etc). The meat was juicy and tender. The... More

Caught up with two friends of mine in Manhattan and sat outside this restaurant around noon before the sun swung around the building. The food and mixed drink was awesome. I had the filet mignon that came with lightly fried tomatoes and onions as well as fries - lol. The steak was cut already but very tasty and nicely blended... More

It's official. Each time I visit NYC, I have to go to Pio Pio. The food is beyond delicious here. The Matador Combo is a great dish for a group of people. The chicken is very moist and has a wonderful marinade. The salchipapa is quite good as well, with the frankfurters and fries.
