Their green sauce is liquid gold. Goes down smooth with a spicy kick and can go on virtually anything. The matador combo is by far their best value. Enough food to feed up to four people, consists of an entire roasted chicken, fries with sausage, rice, beans and an avocado salad for about $33. Occasionally, I order the lomo saltado,... More

A coworker overheard me talking about another place that makes rotisserie and insisted that I try this place. Well, much to my surprise the chicken was delicious! The thing I was most impressed about was that the breast was super moist. Actually this is probably the most moist breast I have ever had and the chicken is well seasoned. My... More

No really, this place is off the hook. Go to the one on 93rd and Amsterdam, the atmosphere and service are superior. The staff is really, really wonderful - attentive but not oppressive. The food! Ceviche and Chicken are an absolute must. Both were unlike anything I've ever had in a restaurant. The empanadas were darn tooting as well. Highly... More

My daughter lives in NYC and eats here regularly. She told us we would love it if we tried it and we did. The entire meal was excellent...the chicken, the rice, the empanadas (ordered a second helping - yum!) and even though I am not a fan of Sangria....it was soooo good! The location we were at was small but... More

Lovely place. Unassuming but quite elegant and very good service and the Peruvian food was extremely good. I would highly recommend.

Whenever we are in NYC we try to go to Pio Pio. Portions are a good size and the Sangria is a treat. The restaurant is not fancy but the food is flavorful and well prepared.

Came to NY for business and wanted unique cuisine that you can't get in my small town. My friend and I split the matador combo and and an order of empanadas to start. Everything was wonderful! There was more than enough food for us, it probably enough food for at least four. Each of us got half of a chicken.... More

Pleasantly surprised with this place. The chicken and pastas were good and the sausages were quite Nice too. Decent portions and the service was good. Avoid sitting by the door because there is So much traffic that goes through you need to shift and move all the time. Had a good experience here and would come back.

Food is absolutely phenomenal. Highly recommend the Matador Combo. That combo plus one other decent-sized plate can easily feed four people. And their sangria is fantastic as well.
