Our 3rd trip to New York, and our 9th or 10th visit to our favorite restaurant there. We can't get enough of this place. The service is fantastic, the prices are reasonable, and the know exactly how to cook seafood. My favorite dish is the Corvina A Lo Macho. Imagine a Peruvian bouillabaise and you've got the idea. Every kind... More

Authentic peruvian ceviche. I get the white fish. Very citrusy and delicious. Crave worth for sure. Also a great green sauce.

The food was very tasty, roasted chicken really especially delicious. The atmosphere - not so much. It was VERY noisy and the tables and chairs so close together that I heard every thing the people next to me were talking about but had problems talking to my party across the table. This is probably better as a take out place,... More

Always love to eat at Pio Pio. Matador Special is amazing for 4 persons. Tons of food. I recommend getting extra side of rice & beans as the serving for them in this combo is small. Sangria is always a hit too.

Everything is very tasty, and the portions are huge. I love their rotisserie chicken, and the generous avocado salad with sliced tomatoes is a great appetizer. But you must try their fully loaded stuffed potato which I even found hard boiled egg inside. The place is noisy, but fun and filled of life. Service is fast and efficient. Some of... More

Not haute cuisine, but definitely satisfying, comfort food, where the protein -- shredded chicken in my case, shrimp in my wife's -- melds well with the carbohydrates (rice, potatoes0, and the creamy sauce, tinged with what I presume were spices typically used in Peruvian cuisine, coated the mouth and tongue in a gratifying manner. My pisco sour was very well... More

Seeking something new not far from Times Square, we followed Trip Advisor reviews here for an early dinner, which meant no crowds or reservations. The Cebiches Mixto appetizer ($18) was a pricy but wonderful, large medley of corvina fish, shrimp, calamari, baby scallops and lime juice, plenty to share for two. For a main course (De Fondo) we split the... More

We were greeted like royalty. Our appetizers and entrée were fantastic. Salmon with salad Shrimp with Avocado green sauce to die for and a lime sauce with plantains. Yum! We fed 2 more on our leftovers. Pricy but large portions with generous sides and sauces. Definitely on my list next trip to New York City.
