My family, with 7 people ranging from 9 to 85, went for dinner one evening. We had little experience with Peruvian food but happened in this place based on location and the ratings. We were so pleased. The atmosphere is great..open, festive, friendly. The food was wonderful. The 2 salmon dishes were outstanding. Both rich, unusual and flavorful. The chicken... More

We turned up late one saturday night and we were seated within 20 minutes. We ordered the chicken and cheviche. The chicken was sensational! Well worth a trip and will definitely go back again.

We spent a few days in NYC with family. This place caught our attention as it was close to our hotel on Upper West Side - not too far from the Central Park. The place looked cosy, it was Monday evening and so we just walked in. It was pretty crowded but they could fit us in without a wait.... More

The Peruvian menu is tops - shrimp, chicken, delicious sauces and dips. Everyone I take there loves it. It's a festive place for a birthday party or just a nice, peaceful meal. Have been to the midtown location, lovely too.

This is a good place to take food away from. The Peruvian chicken is excellent as are all vegetables and side dishes. The chicken soup is great on a cold day or if you are feeling a bit peaked. Many seafood dishes are also nicely made. But the room can become horrifically noisy and that ruins that pleasure. So buy... More

When you see a lot of locals eating in a restaurant, that restaurant must be good. Pio Pio is one of these. The chicken it serves is very tender and tasty. We ordered it every time we were there. The green sauce is spicy good. We always asked for more. The other dish we order usually is seafood with rice,... More

We ordered the rotisserie chicken and the steak dish. Food came to us in less than 7 minutes, however the sides we had to keep asking for and one member of our party only got her rice and beans after she finished her chicken. Chicken is amazing! Highly recommend it! Few areas of improvement- waiter had hard time understanding is... More

Our first night exploring upper West side, and we come across Pio Pio. Having never tried Peruvian cuisine, it was a good opportunity. The staff were very helpful, as we tried to over order!! The portions were too big even for 2 of us- a whole spit roast chicken, a mountain of seasoned fries and a fresh avocado salad. Accompanied... More
