This restaurant was recommended to me for a special occassion - a group of friends celebrating a special birthday. It is on the 47th floor of the Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square and the only revolving restaurant in New York. You can see the Crysler Building, but not other landmarks, but the skyline view was worth it. The windows... more

This Year in June we went to NY again and booked a table at the restaurant The View for our weddinguniversersary. We ordered a 3 courses meal, a bottle of wine and plain water. The food was god, but we only saw the waiter when coming with the food. We had to pour the wine our self and we lacked... more

We went for cocktails on our first evening to get a "feel" for New York. Got seated quit quickley at a window so no complaint there. But... a cocktail costs $16 which at that point I thought was the price of a coctail in New York. It's not! When the bill came we had to pay an extra $7.50 per... more

The restaurant is cool, it just is. The food however, is really terrible. Nothing is kept a the proper temperature, the salads are warm and the entrees are cold. As a food connoisseur, I was really hoping for something gourmet, all I got was what you would get from a caterer at a bad wedding. I was really not impressed.... more

The only good thing is the view but you can't get... more

First up - the view from here is absolutely fantastic, so the restaurant lives up to its name in that respect! It's positioned right at the top of the Marriott hotel on Broadway so you get a panoramic view of Manhattan and beyond, that rotates as you have your meal. This is spectacular to see at night, as you can... more

We got stuck in the 'wow' factor of a rotating restaurant. Actually getting to the restaurant was a bit confusing, but not that big a deal. The view: OK at best. 2 sides were looking directly at taller buildings. We were there at sunset, which made it a little more enjoyable, otherwise not worth it. Spend the money on the... more

You can't beat the views - we were there for a late dinner on a clear night and enjoyed the view from the rotating restaurant. The buffet however was a bit pricey unless you are a big eater or really hungry. The other downside was the choice of canned music that is playing all through your meal. In our case,... more

stay away from this restaurant, we had dinner in valentine's day and it was an awful experience, the food was not great ,the food presentation was not appealing ,for $ 150 per person they have nothing to offer except the view in times square., no wonder it was not hard to get reservation from them. more
