Great Cuban food!

My wife and I used to live in Florida when we were first married and became hooked on Cuban food. It's been difficult to find authentic, high quality Cuban food since we moved to New England. Well this spot was great! My wife had the grilled octopus appetizer, and it was spectacular! We both had... read more

We visited 2 times because we loved it here. Food was excellent and all sides like Tostones and salat also was just fabulous. Mojitos like should be, very Cuban. Totally recommended. A bit pricey but great place.

Me and my girlfriend ended up at this place because of friend of us living in Manhattan invited us to have a dinner. It couldn't be more pleasant. Guantanamera is perfect from every point of view. I consider myself as a caribbean fan, and this place is just an oasis in the middle of the Big City. Cuban traditional food... More

We had a very nice meal at this Cuban restaurant. The two empanada appetizer was great. I couldn't choose so got one chicken and and beef. The skirt steak with chimichurri sauce was done perfectly. The coconut custard was light and fluffy and delicious. Attentive and friendly service. Really noisy and crowded.

We had a weekday lunch special. With only $15.95,we enjoyed 3 course lunch. We chose one of each from appetizer, main and dessert. I chose chicken noodle soup, which was authentic menu. And Ropa Vaja for main,Flan for dessert. Ropa Vaja was the best! It was carefully coked and served hot with rice. So tasty and flavorful.and generous portion. My friend chose... More

At dinner time, things get very busy here. The restaurant is small and cramped for space. We came on a Saturday and happened to get the last table without a reservation. Unfortunately, the table was on the basement level. The band started playing at 9pm but we couldn't even hear them in the basement, which is a huge drawback since... More

Went for a late dinner with another couple on a Friday night. While they took reservations the table was about 30 minutes late. No worries as the spot was jumping. A live band played great Cuban tunes but given the size of this restaurant it was way too loud to connect with others. We were offered a table downstairs and... More

My initial impressive was great but my server was awful. He was obviously very popular with the locals because he stopped mid sentence telling me about drink specials to laugh and joke for about 5 minutes. I never received water. I had to ask for a part of my meal that was missing, three times. He NEVER asked if we... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
