Having recently been to Cuba, I can say, the food was definitely authentic and very delicious!! We were looking for a restaurant for our final night in NYC and hoped we made the right choice. We did!!!! Nice spacing between the tables, the service was friendly...and the band was incredible! It was perfect for us! Left feeling very upbeat...and it... More

Honestly one of the best time we had in New York. My husband and I happen to catch it during the World Cup and even though you could tell that all the staff cared about was the game, it didn't change their services or the amazing quality of their food. I would go back there again in a heart beat.... More

The croquetas, tamal, ropa vieja and the Mojitos are absolutely authentic. For an evening of real Cuban food and sounds this is the place to go. The staff from the greeters to the waiters all did their job professionally.

We met cousins here for lunch. At lunchtime, the restaurant was quiet for our visit and all the dishes were very tasty. Will go again if we are ever in NYC.

Excellent Cuban food especially big steak with garlic and onions. Also the maduros rice and beans and seafood is excellent. A lot of items on the menu but the wait was fine while supping monitors natural. They have numerous beers available. The big draw was for soccer fans with a 180 inch screen and numerous other tv,s around. Heavy hearts... More

This is the best and most authentic Cuban restaurant in New York City that I have found. I am originally from Miami—a city with a large Cuban population. So, I have very high standards when it comes to finding good Cuban food. The food at Guantanamera is both authentic, excellently prepared and is reasonably priced particularly for New York City... On a recent visit to NYC, my husband and I had a chance to dine with some family members, and after asking for Cuban food, they selected this place. We had reservations for 7PM on a Friday night, but we arrived early and were promptly seated (although there was a nice-sized bar that would have been fine to wait). I... More

I was generally unimpressed by the food and the service. The food rations are small and not properly seasoned, and the service is slow an unattentive. The drinks are good, but that is all this place really has going for it and the reason the bar is always full. It tends to be busy, but most of the clientele seems... More

My girl and I spent some time in NYC, and a friend had been telling me about this quaint spot that has great Cuban food, great live music and an awesome atmosphere to match.....He was very right!! I started with a mojito while my girl delighted herself with a red sangria, they both where flavorful and delicious. We then moved... More

Start with the mango mojito (they make the best mojitos in Manhattan), sit back, enjoy the food and the fun. Food is Cuban, right down to the bowl of black beans they bring to the table. I spoon them onto the rice that comes with the chicken al jibe, a flattened breast of chicken with some salad featuring avocado sharing... More
