Food is an excellent selection of dishes involving chocolates in many variation. Place is a bit noisy as it is very popular for local and tourists alike. Booking ahead is recommended for busy times.

This is my kids absolute favorite restaurant! The desert menu is packed with wonderful options to choose from. We ordered the milk chocolate syringe, it's served warm, the European Fondue that comes with strawberries, bananas, marshmallow, brownies and a choc chip cake with caramel, white and milk chocolate, messy sundae (I can't remember it's right name) and the pizza!! I give this establishment an average rating because of the food quality. The restaurant, is called Chocolate by the Bald Man, but nevertheless serves lunch and dinner fare with sprinklings of chocolate accents throughout the savory items offered for these items. I had ordered Onion Rings and Fries with the promises of interesting dipping sauces (which were to be chocolate... More

We live nearby and frequent Max Brenner at Union Square in Manhattan. The desserts are festive and seeing them go by is an eye full. We more often than not go for entrees and share a dessert occasionally. I especially love their unusual Cesar Salad and can request it be served on a corn waffle. Reservation a good idea if... More

Max Brenner is a unique themed restaurant. The theme is chocolate and the menu is really good and unique. It is decorated like Willy Wonka's fictional chocolate factory. There are many menu items infused with cocoa. There are also great drinks. My only complaint is that it can be very busy and the seating feels a bit cramped. It can... More

Split an entree with whoever you're with, because the dessert is the real main course! Any of the fondues are amazing. I've never had a bad meal here. It's a bit pricey, but a great place to go when you want a treat. call for a reservation, because you'll wait an hour any weeknight to get a table.

Visiting NYC, my daughter and I love chocolate so read some reviews and wanted to try it out. Got there around 3pm and the four of us were seated right away. Ate lunch and enjoyed it and then had the ice cream with dipped chocolate with nuts and chocolate bites. Best part was my kids didn't finish it, so I... More

I can't say enough about this place and I LIKE CHOCOLATE!! No, I love chocolate. I haven't tried everything on the menu, but my wife will let have a chocolate drink with my chocolate...whatever else. It's a little pricey, but hey, it's New York!

We were looking for something special before a show. Max Brenner did not disappoint. The lunch was very good and the deserts were good as well. We especially loved the vanilla chai tea. We would go again
