Bring Plenty o' Benjamins When Eating Here

New York City is full of classic steak houses, and this one deserves to be on the list. White table clothes, a very gentlemanly interior, wait staff in black pants and white shirts and entry walls filled with pictures of celebrity diners (although some, like various members of the "Real Housewives... read more

We came to this large and very busy New York Steak House to celebrate my Daughter's Birthday and it certainly didn't disappoint. It's large and bustling in a traditional setting. The Steaks were superb as was the service from Ricky; his wine recommendation was also perfect. I really couldn't fault it

My family seems more carnivorous than most so a dinner at a steak house while visiting NY is a must . Sometimes even two dinners at a steak house . Benjamin had a little bit more cachet because of of its comfortable size (as opposed to football stadium size ) and seating arrangements . The steaks were generous and cooked... More

My boyfriend brought me here for my birthday before our okay started. The atmosphere is nice and has a cozy feel to it. The waiter was friendly. I had the filet and he had the sirloin. Both steaks were large in size and season to perfection. I will definitely return!

This is everything you would expect from a great steakhouse: top of the line high quality meat (go for the steak for two), good variety of wine and attentive service makes it into a perfect choice.

Food was great- service needed a little work. They took our dessert order, forgot to bring food, then brought our bill. Oops.

Now I had the surf and turf. Never had lobster like this. The food quality is so good I'm embarrassed with what London serve up. This place is incredible and very Italian ' warm and on the ball . A perfect meal I could eat every evening

In NYC there are choices galore for steak, but I truly think Benjamin is one of the top options. From the quality of the food to the well prepared dishes, I can not fault them on anything! I think the great service along with a tasty meal accounts for the high cost. I definitely recommend Benjamin to all my visiting... More

We had a lunch in Benjamin the other day, found it on Zagat with good ratings. We have to say that we disagree... We made a reservation so we didn't worry about not having a place. Service was ok, we were seated quite fast, waiter was quick, ordering was simple. I have to say that we were pumped after reading... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
