Best meat I've ever had!

Having only been to Gaucho steak house (what I would describe as a premium chain) in the UK before, I only have this to really compare it to. The meat was absolutely gorgeous. Crusty on the outside but when you cut through the meat which we opted to have cooked medium, the meat just fell away. Not... read more

Great food. Great atmosphere. I have been here 2x's and my meal was superb both times. This place is very popular among all the movers and shakers world-wide (entertainers, athletes, dignitaries, business execs, etc). I can see why...because the place is top notch

This was my second visit to the Benjamin Steak House and I was not disappointed. The ambience, as before, was terrific. It's very buzzy indeed - with a central downstairs bar and staircase leading to different levels with balconies in a huge Victorian space. The aged, Porterhouse steak for two comes to your table on the bone to be prepared... More

The steak here was superb. I wouldn't say the best I've ever had, but very good nonetheless. The salads and sides, on the other hand, we could have done without. Service was good as well. They have you in and out in no time. Glad we came here to try it, but would not go back.

Great steaks and food overall. Try the creamed spinach- which does not have any cream. Steaks were nice done- perfectly cooked. Service staff was very good- but hurried/rushed.

We were told that this restaurant had the best steak in New York, and trust me, they do. Cosy atmosphere with Scottish inspiration and big fireplace. From we were seated refreshments were put on the table at once. We choose the steak for two with Italian red wine. The restaurant was almost full, but food came flying in really fast.... More

Our family did a spring break trip from Houston in March 2015. Wanted a nice dinner out and Benjamin's was recommended. We had salad, steak for 3, drinks, and dessert. Food and service was all very good. Atmosphere was nice. Paid a premium for the meal, but was happy to do so. We'd go back.

We had an excellent meal at the Benjamin while in New York. We shared a steak for two which was truly delicious. Our Server was Walter, he was helpful, courteous and very pleasant. The restaurant environment is very impressive and we were lucky enough to sit on the Mezzanine floor where we had a great view of the restaurant.

Business dinner in Midtown NY. Long cue to wait for.... It made me thinking about a high quality.....but...... So the NY style sirloin was good but the sides, overcooked or burnt (French fries brown!!!!). Our waiter was real good....and the espresso too... I know we're in Midtown....but too expensive....I guess...

Nice place, very well located, amazing atmosphere....and quality on steaks and vegetables. Good enough even to have a drink at the counter bar.
