Excellent Huge Filet Mignon

Attended a business dinner at this restaurant which included hor d'oeuvres, wine, soup or salad, a main course and dessert. All the food was very good. My filet Mignon was huge and excellent as were the sides. The desserts were assorted and all looked good. The carrot cake was good.

We had a great evening at the Benjamin. Steak was perfect. Wife got the keg of lamb. Wonderful. Wine list is deep. Good evening.

After some debate we agreed that my wife should choose the restaurant for our last night in New York (a Monday night), she checked with the concierge and they recommended the Benjamin Steak House which was about a 10 min walk from our hotel in Times Square, they booked us a table for 20:00. We got there at 19:40 and... More

Benjamin is a sentimental favorite. I eat here every time I am in NYC whether with friends or with the wife. The porterhouse for 2 is my go-to and it's always as good as I remember.

One of the best if not the best steak I've ever had. We sat at a table next to a priest, a rabbi, a man in a tux, a mafioso looking guy and what we found out an opera singer. No joke! We discovered the opera singer when he bursted out a one of a kind happy birthday song for... More

Steak was good but with a Zagat review of 27 I was expecting so much more. Nothing made this Steakhouse stand out from the pack. I probably will not go back, not because i didn't like the food or restaurant but because there are many places that offer the same exact steak and sauce at the same consistency. If your... More

Family atmosphere, great food and very attentive staff. Steak combo was fab! Very busy on the night we were there, seems very popular.

We went to lunch and took a friend with us. Mario greeted us with a sincere warmth. Ricky, our waiter, not only remembered how we liked out steaks, but what kinds of wines I like to have with lunch. The food was great. The service was wonderful. This is our "go to" place for a special meal.

I sat at the bar for a late dinner after arriving in town. Service was a little judgmental regarding my drink order, but otherwise good. The steak was excellent.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
