Steak @ Benjamin's

Food was very good, lively atmosphere with very good service. We order a steak for 2 and we could not finish it. All portions including the sides should be shared. We went on Father's Day and as a leaving gesture I received a card and a $50 gift certificate for our next visit

Been there a few times and yet, again and again we admire the consistency of the place. We started with the baked clams, which were fresh, well seasoned ... fabulous ! The steak for two was outstanding, of supreme quality, professionally aged and prepared. Sides - Creamed Spinach and French Fries were also excellent. An impressive wine list wrapped it... More

Convenient location between Nyu Medical Ctr. and Empire State Bldg. in Murray Hill. Food is average and inconsistent.Broad selection.Dark bar area with a windowed dining section. Waitress removed orange slice w. her fingers and placed on the iced tea refill!

Benjamin steak house was recommended by a friend back home in Australia. We decided to book a small party of 4 to celebrate our wedding. The food was amazing, definitely recommend the steak for 4, our server (I feel bad, cannot remember his name) was wonderful. He gave advice on what sides to have with our steaks and wine to... More

Visited this restaurant after receiving the recommendation by the concierge in our hotel. The restaurants main dining room which was a step back in time and very grand, with a real buzzy atmosphere. Upon arrival the waiting staff and manager made myself and my family feel very special, and nothing was too much trouble. The steak was cooked to perfection... More

There are vast numbers of steak houses in New York but we were recommended to this one by a local. It is conveniently located near to The Grand Central Station. We went there for lunch and there were a number of suited business types. It has a very clubby atmosphere. I like this place in particular as it is quiet... More

If you are looking for a great meal with the best New York experience then this is the place to eat. The steaks are unbelievably amazing and cooked to perfection. It is an unassuming place when you walk in and then the ambiance hits you. There are business meetings going on all around you with the power brokers of New... More

Great night, it was the best steak we had in New York. Staff friendly and helpful. Only downsides very noisy and limited white wine list, if you like red wine a huge choice.

While I did not find this place overly exciting (in terms of atmosphere and food)... the service was fast and good... the food also met our requirements for a business lunch

We booked a table for 2 and at 6pm the restaurant was rammed. We were served quickly by a very helpful waiter, Ricky. We chose starters which as soon as the Steak for Two arrived it was obvious that was a mistake! It was immense and beautifully cooked. Fabulous evening!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
