Good Kosher Indian Food

Good lunch buffet with reasonable variety. Place is filled with both Indians and observant Jews so you know it is good. Food is vegetarian. Not much to say about service but the buffet was replenished frequently.

We visited this restaurant reading the reviews, however found the food average and service also not so professional. Staff was happy to help however didn't seem professional. None of the items we ordered had the wow factor. Papdi chat that we ordered in starter was prepared using savoury diamond snack ( "farasi puri"?) !! Coconut chutney seems a bit more... More

Met a friend there for lunch so there were 4 of us. The food was good, atmosphere VERY loud once the place was full, service was good, but they rushed us out when we were finishing up. They better be very careful with that behavior. We are regular visitors, but that can change easily with that service to the customer.

Periodically we get a craving for Indian, and the vegetarian buffet at Tiffin Wallah is perfecting satisfying that craving -- and affordable at $9.50/person.

This place is very versatile in terms of north indian, south indian, gujarati food.. and all of it tastes very good. We decided to go to this place because one of us was craving Undhiyu, which is a traditional gujarati item. Not all of us ended up getting Gujarati food, we got some punjabi and some south indian. Place is... More

Tiffin Wallah is completely on the mark for absolutely authentic dosas and other South Indian dishes. Matches anything we get in South India or Mumbai. Not to be missed for those who need, as my wife and family did, to satisfy a pent up dosa craving.

In an area of New York City known as Little India , there resides Tiffin Wallah. The food and curries are flavorful and clean tasting, the restaurant is lovely, and the staff is friendly. I have been there several times and you should order new and different things each time you go (though you should ALWAYS order the mango lassi)!... More

Dosa Princess and her BFF have been dining here at least twice a week for the past few months. The DP knows a good dosa and the ones at Tiffin Wallah always exceed expectations! Delicious thin and crispy with just the right amount of masala and sambar. The restaurant is usually busy but the staff are alway attentive, we feel... More

Came here on a Friday evening and made reservations for 5. When we got here, we were immediately seated. For drinks, we got the sweet mango lassi and chaas. I've always been a fan of mango lassi so hence I wanted to try their sweet version. I didn't know there was a salty version of it so I'll have to... More
