This place is very versatile in terms of north indian, south indian, gujarati food.. and all of it tastes very good. We decided to go to this place because one of us was craving Undhiyu, which is a traditional gujarati item. Not all of us ended up getting Gujarati food, we got some punjabi and some south indian. Place is... More

Tiffin Wallah is completely on the mark for absolutely authentic dosas and other South Indian dishes. Matches anything we get in South India or Mumbai. Not to be missed for those who need, as my wife and family did, to satisfy a pent up dosa craving.

In an area of New York City known as Little India , there resides Tiffin Wallah. The food and curries are flavorful and clean tasting, the restaurant is lovely, and the staff is friendly. I have been there several times and you should order new and different things each time you go (though you should ALWAYS order the mango lassi)!... More

Dosa Princess and her BFF have been dining here at least twice a week for the past few months. The DP knows a good dosa and the ones at Tiffin Wallah always exceed expectations! Delicious thin and crispy with just the right amount of masala and sambar. The restaurant is usually busy but the staff are alway attentive, we feel... More

Came here on a Friday evening and made reservations for 5. When we got here, we were immediately seated. For drinks, we got the sweet mango lassi and chaas. I've always been a fan of mango lassi so hence I wanted to try their sweet version. I didn't know there was a salty version of it so I'll have to... More

This restaurant has an extensive list of vegan offerings and the food is delicious. It was a bit harried, rushed and loud which was surprising for a randon Thursday night dinner, but the staff was helpful and efficient.

No matter how short my visit, I always have a quick meal here. Always fresh, always tasty, reasonable price and attentive service. My first choice in the curry hill area. Try the papyri chat, the bhel puri, and of course the dosas.

An Indian friend took me here so I figured I was in for a treat and they didn't disappoint. I'm not familiar with Indian cuisine so I can't comment on specific dishes, but everything I tried was excellent. The service was great. Coffee was delicious.

This place serves some of the best South Indian food I've ever eaten. I'm there almost every weekend. Some dishes are weekend specials only; for instance, the Pongal-Vada which was even better before it became part of "Chennai Garden" was the absolute best I've tasted. Masala Dosa, Idli-Vada etc. all good. Sambar and chutney also nice with the right amount... More
