Description: Niles NYC is uniquely located in Manhattan's most accessible neighborhood...
Niles NYC is uniquely located in Manhattan's most accessible neighborhood, steps from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. Niles offers a sleek setting with a contemporary American menu for an entertaining meal from morning till late night. Our semi-private dining room is the perfect place to host your business luncheons and private parties, all tailored specifically to suit your event. Niles is not only a fresh, contemporary restaurant, it’s also a colorful and exciting bar that attracts plenty of locals as well as out-of-towners. Clean iridescent finishes accentuate a huge rectangular bar with seating all around, anchored by a lit-glass decorative column. You can generally count on a lively crowd here at Niles most every night—especially on concert and game nights at the Garden, when Niles often goes into overtime. It must be the altitude, everything tastes better in New York than my home state of Colorado. We came into the city really late, and Niles was attached to our hotel. It was very good. I had the goat cheese salad and my friend had the French onion soup. Because it was late, we just split some small plates. The... More

Lunch for two was delicious. We had the special soup and 1/2 sandwich and were delighted. We were early and only 3 tables were occupied, but the hostess was determined that we would sit at a 2-topper without an extra chair. Subsequently other guests were seated at the larger tables Our service was slow but very nice. The person who... More

Perhaps Ethiopian is not my favorite cuisine, but I found nothing interesting here. Prices were high for what was served, and flavors ranged from unpleasant to uninteresting. Meats were overcooked. Of Sambusa, Tibs, Doro Wot, Yetsom Beyaynetu, and the tea, I guess the Sambusa was the only thing I found worthwhile.

My friend picked this restaurant out for us for a before-show dinner. The service wasn't that great, they really didn't go out of their way to make us feel welcome. But the food was really, really good. I had the sea bass which was incredible. My partner had the mushroom risotto and it so good. I would have rated this... More

Restaurant is ok, located at the Ataffina hotel. Menus has several choices, a bit confusing. Food was ok - far from great, but still good. Small selection of wine. Decoration is plain, lacks charm and grace. Service was ok too. It's a good option for a late night bite, as we needed, but not worth a planned visit.

The restaurant and bar attached to the Affinia Manhattan is what i would call adequate. You would probably only go there if staying in the Hotel. not to say it was bad, the food is good and the service good but its nothing special. there are more exciting places to go in NYC but if staying in the hotel or... We had a very nice meal here just before Christmas. It really convenient to Penn Station / MSG right across the street on seventh ave. Very nice looking open dining room. Food was very good nice service also. Only drawback may be the sound level, not a quite intimate setting.

Had dinner here prior to event at MSG. Service was fast and friendly and food was hot, fresh and cooked perfectly. Average atmosphere, but okay. A bit pricey, but what you would expect for proximity to MSG. Saw several well behaved young children in the dining room, so I don't know what was going on with a previous reviewer who... More
