As far as New York goes, they have reasonable prices and the food was great. The pancakes were light and fluffy. It is a small diner and nothing spectacular but it is a good breakfast spot. It is also really small so try to get there early because seating is limited. The only bad thing is I did not see... More

After reading the reviews on this place we decided to try it for breakfast. We each had the pancakes, bacon, and homefries. All were served delicious, hot, and quick, but the waitress was very slow. It took a while for her to take our order and she never came to refill our drinks. Overall, a pretty good place.

This was our regular location for breakfast during an NYC trip - dishes like Eggs benedict and Huevos Rancheros were the perfect start to an all-day walking expedition. It is reasonably priced and offers good value for money. The only downside was the awful coffee.

After searching on here for good breakfast locations for our last day, we stumbled across 'Morning Star' and were definitely not disappointed! It looks quite unassuming from the outside but do not be deceived. The staff were friendly and attentive (topping up coffee and water as we ate). I had chocolate chip pancakes and my fiancé had a Lumberjack breakfast... More

NYC can empty your pocket book quite quickly. Rather than paying the hotel price, take a short walk to 2nd Ave. We each had a 3 egg omelette with toast and homefries for less than $20 with tax and tip. It was crowded and hectic but service came quickly. If you order pancakes or waffles, the syrup is real maple,... More

Cute diner with great food. Great soup and sandwiches, nice if you want something quick. They also offer delivery.

We ate here twice during our stay in New York and weren't disappointed. The coffee is good and strong and keeps coming. Pancakes were delicious and there were a lot of them! Service is friendly and quick. A perfect way to start the day

We ate breakfast here one morning, and the food was pretty good and the service was pretty fast. They had a group of British students coming through and eating breakfast there from a reduced menu, so seating was a bit hard to come by. There was quite a queue waiting for tables at one point. That having been said, they... More

Ordered meatloaf special and broiled chicken special. Both came with soup and vegetables. Chicken matzah ball soup was delicious. Meatloaf was three large pieces with mushroom gravy. Chicken was done just like I ordered it. Not expensive especially for New York City.

Super traditional american breakfast. My boys loved ordering their eggs 'over easy'. Good french toast and coffee. Friendly and efficient.
